    Read the bottom paragraph.
You're right. But a ping pong lottery offers basically the same outcome. There's going to be club level owners who can't go for a variety of reason, thus those tickets will GE filtered down to everyone else, presumably.

Maybe I'm misreading your post, but are you assuming that some lottery winners will simply turn down their chance to buy tickets? I mean, I guess there could be a few who miss out by accident, but you'd have to be a bit of a dope to turn down face value Super Bowl tickets on purpose, wouldn't you? You could easily, at a minimum, double your investment with no problem, or, if money doesn't matter (as I'm sure it doesn't to some of the bigwigs), you could make a friend/relative/client VERY happy by giving them the tix. But to win the lottery and say "no, thanks"?!? Can't see that happening.

I'm thinking if you get your number pulled and you "cant go", the next logical thing is reselling at 3x - 4x face value. There is a some big coin to be had there. I certainly would think about it if cash flow was an issue.

If you don't get tickets you can hang out with me. I'll be sleeping in the street with the rest of the drunks on Bourbon Street
After 5 years of early exits, the journey is finally complete.

Anyone know what Face value is for Superbowl tix?
Also if you do win the Ravens Superbowl Ticket lottery, what kind of seats do they offer? uppers, lowers, etc? Is it if you have lower psls you are offered lower superbowl tix, etc?

The tickets the team usually gets for road games are usually in the upper level endzone or endzone corners so that is where I would expect the tickets to be and the price will probably be $700-800 face value

There's a few folks out there who can't swing the initial outlay of a grand of two to do what you propose.

Or folks who may have work responsibilities and can't make the game.

They're rare I'm sure but I'm also sure the team gets some "no thanks" responses.

    Definitely not "between the 20's"

The people I know that got lottery tix for the SB in Tampa were mostly sitting between the side endzone and the 15 yd line.

That is a lot of cash...
Even if I wanted to resell.
I would still try to buy them.

    Re: Super Bowl Ticket Lottery

If anyone wins the lottery and is willing to sell the tickets at a reasonable price (I'll be straight, I can't afford to get in a bidding war, but I do have some money), I would appreciate the opportunity. I was 9 years old in 2000 when my uncle and his friends took a bus down to Tampa Bay (I, sadly, wasn't allowed to go). I fully intend on going to NO, but a ticket to the game would complete the trip.

    Re: Super Bowl Ticket Lottery

I just got an email from the Ravens and couldnt open it fast enough. I started reading and almost shit myself then I got to the part where they said I didnt win the lottery

    Dear Mr. ,

Wow…the Ravens are going to the Super Bowl!

A special random lottery was conducted this week to select a limited number of PSL Owners who would receive the option to purchase 2 tickets for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, LA. We are sorry to report that your account was not selected to receive this opportunity.

All 26,000 PSL owner accounts were included in the lottery for the limited number of available tickets. We wish we could accommodate all fans that would like to attend but that is just not possible due to the limited number of tickets we receive from the NFL. However, we have established a partnership with PrimeSport, the official travel partner of the Baltimore Ravens, who can assist fans who want to attend Super Bowl XLVII.

    TRAVEL PACKAGE AVAILABILITY
If you are still looking for travel options to New Orleans, Official Super Bowl XLVII Fan Travel Packages are available to our fans. Packages are customizable and can include chartered air transportation, hotel accommodations, all ground transportation, access to pre-game events, and Super Bowl XLVII tickets. There are only a limited number of packages available and orders will be processed on a first received basis.
