Well some of the 'elites' just get too many home playoff games. A quick perusal of playoff results shows Brady is 3-2 in 5 road playoff games. He has played 11 home playoff games. Theoretically you want 0 road playoff wins each year, lol, and 2 home playoff wins.

The record would still be very impressive.

With the four-division format since 2002, it's relatively simple to rack up wild-card weekend road wins. Usually the 4 seed is pretty bad, sometimes the 3 is too. This year was pretty unusual in that regard (Well, Denver was still bad... haha). Sanchez's two divisional-round road wins are more impressive, he's 2-0 in those while Flacco is 1-2. Now we'll see if Flacco can move up to 1-1 in road AFCCs to better Sanchez's 0-2.

Not really. During its first forty-plus years, there was only a single playoff game: the winners of the East & West Conferences. After breaking into 4 divisions in the late 1960s. a second round of playoffs was instituted. Single Wild Card playoff games were added in the late 70s, later expanded to an entire four game first round..

OMG. It took Peyaton nine years to get his fifth win, in his fitth year he lost his third straigth PO game 0-41 to who..haha the Jets.. 131 yards.. was he elite in his fifth year? What if Flacco lose 0-41 this weekend? Not only will he still not be elite, hard to believe he will have any future.

Btw Brees in his tenth year is 5-4 , and on the road 0-3.

But even divisional winners have to go on the road. Brees has lost two consecutive years on the road. The NY Giants won in Green Bay this year and were a division winner. Both the Giants and the Ravens play on the road on Sunday; both teams won their divisions.

Yea, but up until this year the Texans have been mediocre at best, the Titans haven't been much of anything (consistently) since Steve McNair was in his prime, and regarding the AFC East the Dolphins, Jets, and Bills have been the Patriots' whipping boys for the past decade for the most part.

Neither the Colts or the Patriots have had to face an opponent like the Steelers or Bengals twice a year like the Ravens had. The AFC North is easily one of the toughest, if not the toughest, division in the NFL.
