    Umenyiora fined $20K for missing his 45 minute interview



    I know they take the SB media stuff very seriously but $20 grand for missing his interview seems a little extreme doesn't it?

    $3,767,000 is is salary this year, not including his Super Bowl bonus.

    $20,000 equals .5% of his salary.

    So that's like $250 parking ticket for someone who makes $50k a year.

    Meh.

    Are the fines after tax? In that case the 38 % will run this up. Like throwing away six 60 inch LED's 3D.

    I know the guys got the cash, I'm just saying it seems extreme compared to some helmet hits I've seen which were fined at 10K. odd priority

    Actually, isn't that his whole game check? They don't earn much at all for playoff games since contracts are paid out in the regular season.
