Clearing out more salary-cap space, the Raiders released veteran cornerback Chris Johnson. No Stanford Routt, no Chris Johnson. per Adam S facebook.

Wow, yeah whereever Manning goes so does Clark, you can bet on that one.

Okay. Maybe just about any team would be a good fit for Manning as long as he's allowed to bring his buddies (Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne).

That has to make the Broncos the favorites. Neither the Dolphins nor Cardinals have enough cap space for all of them but the Broncos sure do.

Addai was a guy I wanted the Ravens to sign last year before he stayed with Indy.

He's probably one of the best blocking backs in the NFL. He's a hell of a pass blocker.

Instant offense. I don't think Miami with knucklehead Marshall can compete with that. AZ maybe but they're NFC.

I believe Denver plays in Baltimore next year

People thinking Manning is going to be like he was in Indy will be sadly mistaken. I'm not saying he won't be effective, but I see a Favre like ending. What a shame it will be.

Wow, Indy clearing house. Would not mind taking a look at Addai or Jacobs if Allen doesn't pan out. Jacobs may only have another year left though, his knees are getting bad.

Both are living on borrowed time at their age, they are worth vet minimum deals at this point and nothing more.

This Colts purge is beyond anything we have seen before. I would love to see some cap numbers, dead money and their overall cap situation heading forward. Pagano better have gotten a commitment from Irsay for the next 5 years, because he is literally starting with nothing....and I mean NOTHING. It is like they are an expansion team.

I know, it's insane. I thought they really screwed it though with Mathis. First they tagged him and then shortly after signed him to a ludicrous contract if you ask me. The guy is 31 which means he isn't going to be getting any better, he's never played as a 3-4 OLB and to give him a 4yr/$36 mil deal? Wow. Other than Mathis, who else do they really have of note? Freeney? Who they may trade now.

Colts have $38 MILLION in dead money from all their cuts LOL!

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...of-dead-money/
The good news for the Colts is that the recent dumping of multiple veteran players with recognizable names creates more than $10 million in cap space.

The bad news is that, for the privilege of not having players like Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, Gary Brackett, Melvin Bullitt, and Joseph Addai on the team, the Colts will trigger $38 million in empty cap dollars, according to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star.

Known widely as “dead money,” the figure comes from bonuses and other guaranteed payments already made to players who are no longer with the team.

Though the CBA allows a team to spread dead money over two years even if the move comes before the June 1 salary cap Mason-Dixon line, the ability of the Colts to use that technique as it relates to 2012 and 2013 could be blocked by the fact that the moves technically came during the 2011 league year. (We’ve requested clarification from the league.)

And so the job for new G.M. Ryan Grigson and new coach Chuck Pagano continues to get harder. It’ll get even harder once Dwight Freeney is gone.

Meanwhile, owner Jim Irsay just fired the Polians again.

UPDATE 1:37 p.m. ET: League spokesman Michael Signora advises via email that the full $38 million hits the cap in 2012. If the salary cap is in the expected range of $120 million, that leaves the Colts (abacus engaged) $82 million to field a team this year.
    Unreal.

Sanchez's extension was a glorified restructure.. They can cut him after 2013.

Also whats up in the league?? Minny cut both starting guards and a starting cornerback. Are teams really trying to cut salary or lower salaries???
