Schefter also reporting Colts and Skins in on Mathis as well...Appears as though he's the next to fall after Grubbs. Lot of demand for LG's this offseason.

So Bengal fans have the right to b#*ch about Mike Brown. All the cap space they have, losing players but not spent a cent. Man we have it good.....

Mike Brown is the worst owner in the NFL.

Steve Bisciotti is among the best. As someone who was a Bengals fan before the Ravens were around I have seen both extremes. A lot more fun here.

Evan Mathis was rated as the top LG in the NFL last year (according to PFF). On the downside, he turns 31 later this year, so I'm not sure he's going to draw contract offers in the 5-6 year range. I would think a four year deal with 3 years guaranteed would be about his max. Is this guy going to be in the 4 year-$20 million range or more towards the 4 year-$30 million range? The salary scale has gone out the window the last 24 hours.

Likely the reason Grubbs has reportedly been in New Orleans for what a full day...Nicks deal blew the top off the guard market, and they are having a little difficulty slotting Grubbs.

I don't think we can gripe any longer about Anquan Boldin being overpaid anymore. As I was doing my normal "Ravens brainstorming" in the shower last night, I had run through a scenario where the team released Boldin and brought him back at a lower salary (a la AJ Hawk last year). I don't think that would even work now. This is a wonderful year to be a free agent.

Carr is a very good corner. Flowers who played on the other side in KC is even better though. The Chiefs signed him to a $49 million deal last year. No way they could keep both.

Next year will be even better. That's when the salary floor kicks in. All teams will have to be above 89% of the cap number.

Odd career WRT games started with this guy.

Not quite as good a deal as the sticker price indicates, at least my reading of it.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...l-with-eagles/

$10 million signing bonus, and only $15 million is guaranteed, with nothing guaranteed after year 3. He's a pretty small dude though, and a true one-trick pony who will fade fast once the legs go.
