Good for him. Maybe he'll actually stay healthy for them.

I can feel the sting in your words. They are wicked.

    http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/04/13/free...r-from-ravens/

Free-agent C Jason Brown is drawing interest from several teams, including the Ravens, league sources said Friday.

Baltimore, which does not have much salary-cap room, made a conservative one-year offer to Brown, sources said.

Brown has a history with the Ravens. The team picked him in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and he played four seasons in Baltimore before signing a five-year, $37.5 million deal to join the Rams in 2009. Brown has visited the 49ers and Panthers and also talked with the Packers and Titans.

Brown could still end up with the Ravens — he enjoyed his time with the team, and Baltimore needs a guard who can help replace Ben Grubbs (who left via free agency) and offer additional protection for aging center Matt Birk. But Brown is seeing what the market will bear and taking his time mulling his options.

Haha. In all seriousness, I liked the Lee Evans trade. I really think that had he not been out all season long there would have been a better chemistry between he and Flacco. I think that really impacted his ability to play consistently when he came back in the playoffs.

Hopefully he can bounce back and provide a good receiving presence in Jacksonville.

Bengals working out WR Limas Sweed.

Man, I remember GOTA and I really thinking that Limas Sweed would be a hell of a receiver in Pittsburgh.

You guys weren't the only ones. A lot of people called him one of the safest picks in that draft class. I thought there was no way he wouldn't be at least a decent pro, he looked so good and pro-ready coming out of Texas. Nobody expected him to just utterly bust like he has.

How many times do we need to say the draft is a total crapshoot?

Haha, multiple times every year and at least once a week during the off-season.

Broncos to release DT Ryan McBean.

This is surprising. He's been one of their best defensive lineman over the last couple of years. Or at least most consistent.

    Yup.

They also lost Marcus Thomas and Broderick Bunkly to free agency. So, they're -2 for defensive tackles at the moment.

I think Thomas may still be unsigned, but Bunkley signed with the Saints.

Would he be a possiblity for the Ravens to sign. They need some additional DT depth.

    I'd be down for that.

    They can't afford him though.

Jabar Gaffney told ESPN radio that the Redskins are trying to trade him, would it be worth taking a look at him as our #3 receiver? I think all it would take is a 5th rounder.

Trading for him means they would have to pick up his salary. It's $2.65 million which is too much cap space. He'll probably get cut and that's when you look at him.

Him and Lloyd are similar to me. The majority of their success has been in McDaniels system (although Gaffney did have a decent year last year). Id still be leary of any player that only has had success in such a system based offense.
