    Re: Randy Moss to Baltimore?

Moss has already said that money isn't an issue. If that's true then winning is what matters. How many better teams are there than the Saints out there? As someone who likes catches there is no one throwing for more yards than Brees. In 7 days free agency starts. Suddenly there will be a ton of receivers on the market. Moss has an advantage for the next 6 days and then it goes away. Waiting makes no sense.

Don't look for Moss to be a Raven...

Do the Ravens have serious interest in Randy Moss or is it just typical rumors?
    Tuesday March 6, 2012 12:01
Garrett Downing: With Randy Moss, it seems like there are always going to be rumors about teams being interested in him. He reportedly has workouts with a few teams over the next couple of weeks, but I haven't heard the Ravens being one of them. I would be surprised if Randy Moss was in a Ravens jersey at the start of next season.

do the ravens plan on going for another veteran receiver like they did for the past two years
    Tuesday March 6, 2012 12:39
Garrett Downing: I could definitely see the Ravens going after that kind of player, just like they have the last few seasons with Lee Evans, Anquan Boldin, Stallworth and Housh.

An interesting name that NFL Network reporter Jason La Canfora suggested was Brandon Lloyd from the Rams (http://bit.ly/x8YDT8).

Sounds like Lloyd is going to be expensive. Not sure they go that route even though I do think they want to replace Evans with a vet. I could see Colston over Lloyd. A longer shot would be Wayne who despite his age was very productive last year playing with some horrible quarterbacks.

Lloyd is going to get offered a starting spot somewhere at starters money...New England may be a landing spot for him.

He is not coming here to be the 3rd WR. for a couple million bucks.

What has LLoyd produced outside of McDaniels system? same basic team, same QB he was pretty useless until he followed McDaniels to the Rams and started producing again. Before the Broncos, he wasnt much anywhere else either.

Id say buyer beware with him, making the only team that makes sense NE.

I don't get why a lot of you think if we go after a big WR name, he would be our number 3 receiver... you sign Lloyd, he's going to be our number 1 guy, and Boldin is going to be in the slot, that's just the way it is, I am convinced Boldin just can't work in our system unless he's in the slot.

Idk if it's fair to say that. He looked great even when Tebow was throwing to him, he made some spectacular catches towards the end of his Bronco career. He would certainly be an upgrade to our current receiving core anyway, and could probably at least catch a pass in a clutch game. (Not taking anything away from Torrey Smith, it's just he's only going to be in his second year in 2012.)

    Re: Randy Moss to Baltimore?

He ran four to five routes, looked like the "old" Randy doing it, and it nearly killed him? Man, that's worse than I expected.

    Re: Randy Moss to Baltimore?

GOTA, the man still has other visits set up. Obviously, if New Orleans was the best situation, by far, he would have locked it up with them. Then again, they still have to figure out their cap situation.

You've gone from saying that he won't have a job in the NFL, no team will be interested and that he's done physically, to why he hasn't rushed to visit a team, to why he hasn't rushed to sign with the first team he visits, after he has a great workout by the way.....

Of course Moss killed it. I've been trying to explain to people that he would. Randy, in his prime was a 4.24 guy. Randy losing a step is becoming a 4.35 guy. He had three TDs in four games before going to Minnesota where, even though Favre was breaking down he still managed two more TDs and Tennessee, where they didn't have a QB to get him the ball. So, everybody assumes that he is done.

Most people have not questioned his athletic ability. The reasons people are hesitant to embrace Moss are not diminished in the least by him 'killing it' in a workout. If anything it supports people's hesitancy.

GOTA is one of the people I am referring to, who on this very board, said Moss was done physically.

    So he killed it.

How's that locker room cancer thing working out for him?

    Still say no thanks.

    Oh no!!!

"According to the report, Moss spoke with Saints officials after the workout, including general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Sean Payton. The sources confirmed to the website that there is a strong chance of the sides reaching a deal."

I said weeks ago that a physically capable Moss would worry me more than a Moss who had lost some speed.

If he can still burn then there's no justification for the shit effort he gave in Minny and Tennessee. Not to mention the whole being a total cancer thing.

So what's the over/under for how many games Moss plays enthusiastically before he quits on whatever fool team signs him?

    I say 5 games.

I still say that until I can see otherwise. Bottom line is as long as he's not a Raven I really don't care.

And where is this locker room cancer thing coming from? Because I've NEVER heard an old teammate say this. But I have heard a bunch of people talk about how great of a guy and funny dude Moss was
