It would all depend on what we got back for the picks we trade IMO. Since we are already looking at 5 comp picks, they could trade a 3, 4, and a 5 and only get picks in rounds 4-6 back, but if it is 2 4s, 2 5s, and a 6, plus whatever player we add, I think that's a net gain. All hypothetical and I don't even have a player in mind, just kind of brainstorming.

YO SOLO - With all these D guys leaving do you or anyone think Ozzie

would draft Harrod of Alabama? He should be there - a SS who could
succeed Reed and Reed could even groom him. Might give us depth
    at CB position too.

I know a lot depends on if Mike Adams, LT of Ohio State is there, which
I don't think he will be. Konz, a Center from Wisconsin should be there too.

    Just asking.

Will be interesting to see how the Ravens come back with all the players leaving. This could be the year that Ozzie truly shines.

  5. Re: Zibby gone to the Colts

Pretty much leaves Jameel McClean left to be the last departed I suppose.

Lots of depth to have to fill in now in several areas.

I think you mean Mark Barron.

It's possible to grab him, but then again you'll have a first rounder being used as a backup, or pushing Pollard to the bench. It might be more prudent to use that 1st rounder on a more immediate need (BPA of course) and wait on the safety spot to grab a guy like Trumaine Johnson (Montana, 6'2", 204lbs) in the 3rd round. He's listed as a CB but played safety in college as well. A versitile guy like that would possibly work out well in terms of giving him time to be groomed as a replacement.

I think Mark Barron is a real possibility.

Im sorry, Yes, I meant Barron.

Great point about just a back-up Alien and you're probably right,
    but I agree with Solo.

This could be the year Ozzie doesn't go the BAA. He just needs to fill a
hole or two. This team has been SB ready if not for a couple of dropped balls
    the last couple of years.

Hey - have any of you old timers from Sunspot seen BL Smokey? I havent
seen him posting in a long time.

He didn't say anything about going to the Colts..he talked about going to a village in Indy. Not to say it's not true that he didn't sign there or whatever..

Saw same. Not sure if Cindrich is his agent or whatever. It could be that there was thought to be an agreement, but hit a hitch late. As this is one late denial, what 3 or 4 hours after it was first reported?

No agreement doesn't mean no negotiation. We'll see.

Remember too, only one guy has been a "blockbuster" type signing. Grubbs. JJ has been solid money, Redding, Zbi, and Nakamura were all pretty average contracts. Also going to depend on who we sign back. Mathis and Grubbs would basically cancel each other out.

Prepare yourself for maybe 1 5th and 1 6th at best.
Hope you wrong.. Mathis will not get Grubbs money, should not even been anything like JJ or Redding money.

Mathis has only 37 GS in 8 seasons, compare that to Grubbs or JJ or even Redding, and he is garbage. I do realize he had a strong season, that should not demand big money.

And the fact is we now have lost five FAs and not signed one. So it is hard for anyone than our FO to speculate too much in next years picks.

#TommyZbikowski med in A.M. Should be a #Colt. Seen 'em blow up before at this stage. Much #Zibbyrespect #Ravens-called 1st Frid. Good A.M!

So as I thought - were negotiations, just hadn't been finished off. Day early, should be same result.

#Ravens did everything you want-told him they wanted him but good teams r strapped. RT@MichaelRoden99 did ravens make an effort to re sign

Ravens did make an effort, though - looks like Colts paid more. G'luck Zibby!

He knows the system and would be the day 1 starter. Problem is he never stays healthy enough for a whole season.

Tom Zbikowski's three-year deal is just under $5.5 million and included a signing bonus just over $1 million, according to a league source

This is unfortunate. I liked Zbi. Any other team would have been fine.

Now I hope he gets hurt.
