    Dwight Freeney

Is it possible that Ozzie could trade for this guy now? I know he can't play the run, but I could see him coming here and getting 10-12 sacks.

His cap number is near $14 million. No way they can clear that kind of space.

If he'd agree to play for 10 bucks, and a crabcake. We don't have any cap space.

Osi would be a better bet because his cap hit is about 11 mill less than Freeney's.

    Re: Dwight Freeney

The reason the Colts don't want him, other than his cap number, is because he's 32 years old learning to play OLB for the first time. Why would we bring him here to do the same thing? Don't act desperate. We don't even know that we need to replace Suggs for the entire season.

Knee jerk overreaction. The Baltimore Ravens will be ok without Sizzle. Next man up.

If the Ravens can sign Ray Rice long term, then they will have some cap room to maneuver. Say they trade for Osi to shore up their pass rush early in the season, and Suggs comes back by November. Can you imagine the monster pass rush the Ravens could possibly have by the time the playoffs role around?

The Giants won the Super Bowl getting guys back and healthy towards the end of the season. It would be great.

Kruger/Kindle/Upshaw/McAdoo/McPhee/Ngata and so on and so forth. Every player on the defense needs to step their game up. That's what next man up means- not that one guy needs to reproduce Suggs' 14 sacks from last year, but that as a unit, the defense needs to account for the lost production either in improved pass rush from other players, improved secondary play, etc etc.

    Lets not panic here.
It sucks he is injured. Wait to here what extent he will be out. Worse case scenerio is we have upshaw on one side day 1...

Suggs will be missed for sure if he is out all year but life as we know it will go on. there are 11 other guys on defense who will have a say in how many points we give up.

Plenty of time in offseason to figure things out

    Re: Dwight Freeney

Freeney is another pure pass rusher who is not a good fit for this defensive scheme. The Ravens really asked a lot of Terrell Suggs. He wasn't just rushing the passer.

    No thanks, next man up...

If the offense is putting up 28 ppg then it won't matter quite as much.

It's time this team and this organization learn to rely just as heavily if not more on the offense then the defense.

If the offense fails to carry this team at several times over the course of the season then there is no doubt wholesale changes should be made.

Suggs injury will hurt the defense but it should not cripple the team if you understand where I'm coming from.

Last I looked Cam is still responsible for the offense so you better not expect 28 ppg from this team.

For Dragz,I didn't realize you needed an interpreter to explain what "who" meant...Yes that one player is a huge loss off the blind side, Upshaw = total ?, Kindle is a total joke, and Kruger is already on the other side as is Ngata already placed. the other 2 are like 20 mil to 1 for them to even become starter material, let alone replace someone as outstanding as Suggs.
He is a seasoned vet and rookies and 3rd rate players cannot replace that. Oz will need to bring in someone to at least steady that spot on the Dline.
Is that clear enough Dragz, or do I need to attach a pic ? lol
