When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Re: Trevor Pryce - article on retirement
I think he seems to be handling retirement better than most. I particularly like how he seems to recognize his imbalances of perspective that NFL history had implanted in him. He's not asking for anyone's sympathy, but seems to long for a more action in his life. I imagine that's how so many players feel after their moment is finished. Some, like Trevor, seem to handle it well. Others (ironically like Junior Seau proved today) do not.
Seems like we won't be reading about Trevor Pryce going bankrupt anytime soon... and I think that shows you that these athletes who spend their money like buffoons are not as common as we think.

That was a great read. Bodymore, murdaland? Always liked price, i know he feels he got a raw deal here but im happy for the time he was. Seems like a really smart guy and certainly was a technician out there, so coach does seem like a fit.

SI did some research on the subject and found that that upwards of 75% of NFL players experience some kind of financial stress or bankrupt within 3 years of their last game.

75% is pretty common in my book.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence.
