    OT - Tape Released of Junior Seau 911 Call



    I can't seem to find the thread that was already started about this tragic event. But I just noticed that, a few hours ago, the call to the police that his girlfriend made upon discovering his body had been released to the public. As Deadspin says, "It's terrifying. Listen with caution."

    I made it through about 1/3rd of it, and regretted it. Heartbreaking.

    I somehow listened to the entire audio, and I'm sorry that I did. The audio is nearly 8 minutes long, and as heartbreaking as the first few minutes are, it doesn't get any better. The last minute or so is nothing more than her sobbing uncontrollably.

    Distressful, to say the least.

    Listened to some of the audio. Felt bad for girlfriend, felt even worse for his mom. Saw a news clip of her crying profusly when she got the word.

    Suicide is a terrible thing, especially for the ones left behind. I don't understand it so I won't judge, but when I hear about these things I always ask why. My wife's uncle had lived his entire adult life life a paraplegic. One day he just decided he had had enough and killed himself. In some ways I understood that.

    Agreed, they do it on local news too. Terrible tragedy, hurry and get the grieving on the air.

    I didn't listen to the tape after seeing all the comments above but my sincere condolences go out to the family and friends

    I first read the responses and said "oh c'mon i can listen to the whole thing, can't be that bad." I don't think i've ever been more wrong in my life. I felt like i was going to get sick and only lasted until the fire dept tried to walk her through how to do CPR.
