    OT: Sandusky?

Dude needs to go to jail.........its sickening that this creep is trying to pass all this off as normal. I can't wait till the prosecutor plays the NBC interview to the jury.....

    You mean the NBC one?

And it was just reported he's going to take the stand.

    He's toast.

It would be shocking if he gets off. Hard to believe they were even able to find an impartial jury for this one.

"These People" didn't bury this. A few folks in the administration did.

Sandusky is making history with this case, pedophile of the century. Man needs to be castrated, then sued, and then spend rest of his life sleeping with bubba in prison. Hotdogs for food(not cooked) and a long prison sentence.

this disgusting event really brings up the issue of leadership in this country. for the penn state coach apologizers who say he told authorities but didn't follow up when nothing was done is just as disgusting as the actions of sandusky.

Did they even report it to the police? The way the story had been being reported it sound more like someone told Joe Paterno, Paterno told someone higher in the schools hierarchy and it got swept under the rug there. It never sounded like the "proper authorities" were ever involved.

Don't paint all of us with that brush.

It's incomprehensible how disgustingly disappointing this whole thing is. I know pretty much everyone here gets how gross the crimes were by themselves. It's just an extra knife in the gut to alums that Penn State has long been looked upon as above-the-fold when it comes to running a clean program, and then have this come out.

A bullet to the head is way too good for Sandusky. And as much as I loved Paterno - I've met him a couple times - a part of me is glad he's passed away because the thought of him having really done nothing when he was in such a position to put an end to this monster is really crushing. It's scarred my image of an idol, and makes me question whether I should ever trust anyone to look at them in that light again.

To put it in perspective that Baltimore fans can understand, imagine Cal being caught in Paterno's position...

To me, the proper authority is yourself. If I see something like that, I am obligated to call 911, not tell my boss, who will tell his, etc... Bc

That's just common sense. Amazing how there doesn't seem to be any at that school. Who worries about getting their bosses permission after witnessing something as horrible as that? Most people would at the very least yell at the guy and ask him WTF is he doing? No way could I mind my own business and walk away if I saw Sandusky and a kid 'wrestling' in the shower.

    Re: OT: Sandusky?

This may sound harsh I guess, but honestly I'm shocked that Sandusky didn't commit suicide at some point before the trials even began. This is just the kind of public shaming that seems likely to have that outcome.

as an outsider i see your point loud and clear. however, you are able to objectively comprehend the situation and admit your dissapointment in paterno where many of your brethren can not. the CEO of Nike who spoke at paternos funeral actually defended paterno. i don't want to get overly philosophical but a big problem with our society today is the dminished role of accountability.

but to be fair its hard to judge people without the absolute facts. look at roger clemens. i figured he was POS and then he is totally exonerated of any wrong doing.

I hope the judge orders him to get a set of knockers tattooed on his back, before they send him to the clink.

I'm afraid he's going to end up in a nice cushy taxpayer funded private wing to keep him safe for the rest of his natural life in jail....

He shold go straight into GenPop... No tattoos needed, he'll be well known in PA for what he's done.
