    Re: OT: Sandusky?

now his adopted son Mark comes out and says he was abused by Sandusky. Not sure why he waited until the jury is sequestered and deliberating since in the past he has defended his adopted dad... I won't judge.

Yeah, he did what he was legally obligated to do, but not what he could have done morally or ethically. An incident that occurred in 2002, and Paterno never thought about it again to the point that he allowed Sandusky access to the football program and the facilities for another 7 or 8 years? Spare me the violins - I have no sympathy whatsoever for Paterno or his legacy. He dropped the ball, just like everyone in power above him.

In my opinion, the culpibility factor is much stronger against McQuery. I don't know, but If I was in his shoes, I wouldn't have walked out of that locker room without having Sandusky's blood dripping from my fists. I have two young boys though, so this really strikes a raw nerve with me. McQuery lost his job as a result of this...which I think was an appropriate punishment for not being more active in coming to the aid of someone who really needed it. McQueary did the bare minimum and, although he did nothing that I think makes him worthy of criminal penalty, I think his unwillingness to act immediately was in poor form. However, faced with such a shocking sight, I would imagine that a lot of people would act in a matter that would, under future review, not be evaluated well.

McQuery is not the villain here though. He didn't fail those boys. The PSU administrators did. There is a cavernous difference between waiting a day to report a crime to the authorities and trying to permanently bury a crime to help save your own skin.
Yes, call the cops right away.....from the nearest phone, and make certain they come. Just wait with Sandusky till the cops show up-- at that point, if the kid breaks down and admits it, case over right there.

I don't care at all if you and your entire family burn and die in a fire tomorrow.

The sun will still rise for me you know?

Seriously. What the hell. Do you realize you just said that you don't care what terrible awful God-awful thing happens or even if the people who did it ever see justice, because it doesn't directly affect you. Does that seem normal to you? Come on man. That makes you less than human.

And no, not "blah blah blah I love my children so much" makes up for that.

I'm just thankful I live in a state where if I see something like that, I can pull my Glock from my side and make the pervert room temperature.

He is going to walk, or its going to be a hung jury.....no other reason to re-hear that testimony from the Penn State coach. If he does walk, I think the retry him on his son....

With 48 separate charges, No way he walks. He may be found not guilty on one or some of the specific charges, but this is an incredibly strong case and he's going to be found guilty on many of these charges.

There is no way that any juror on the planet is going to have reasonable doubt. I don't care how many psychiatrists they bring in and what they diagnose him with. His crimes are way too unsettling and there are so many victims that he will be found guilty.

Isn't it pathetic (sad really) that sometimes technicalities trump evidence and/or reality? Justice at times, depends on the best legal performer. At a distance, Sandusky deserves the max that the law allows. Will he get it? That depends on the artist(s) he hires to defend him...and those twelve men and women (our peers) who make the final decision. I am confident in leaving it up to them to decide... Bc

Its all about the jury....on the jury, you are thinking, but what if they accused me....i
The kids accounts might be written off as bad memories, etc. Normally there is hard evidence in a case, any rape case, etc....so here you have only one "witness" who by his own words didn't see an erection, pentration, and didn't call the cops this concerns me greatly that the jury asked to re-read that testimony. This concerns me greatly....

If it were a couple of victims who were very young at the time I could see this as a possibility. We're talking 48 people all of which are saying similar things about this scumbag. They weren't 5 years old when it happened either. 48 witnesses can't be written off as all having bad memories. Sandusky isn't getting off.

What concerns me is that an adult, which I assume you are, thinks this guy (possibly) did not commit a crime. Yes, let's disregard almost 50 people (even though most were children at the time), and let us allow the current Clarence Darrows of the legal world to let Sandusky go free, then make million$ for themselves. Shameful... Bc

Read the thread...where do you get I think he isn't guilty. Just the opposite.

I think he is guilty beyond a doubt....but that isn't the point, I am not on the jury. Its already been way too long for that jury....he should have been convicted in 1 hour.

The longer it goes the more cause for real concern.....if they are back this afternoon with a verdict it will be a good thing. If not there is a problem. Trust me the longer it goes the happier that Sandusky's attorneys are.

If I've read you wrong, then I gladly apologize. I don't want to lynch anyone, but this guy has so much evidence against him that I think he should get the max... Bc

I have a bad feeling that this is going to be a hung jury which will be a damn shame. I simply don't understand why the jury hasn't come back with their verdict.

This is as open and shut a case as their is.

They are deciding 48 charges. They are not going to get hung on all of them.
