OT: Best football magazine?

Now that NFL Magazine is no more, I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good NFL-only magazine? I bought a subscription to NFL Magazine last year for my 74-year old mother, and I'm looking to replace it with a quality monthly subscription.

Any suggestions?

American Football Weekly is pretty good. It's not all NFL...some college and some high school stuff too.

Football Outsiders is pretty good.

why pay for a magazine when its only going to be a week behind everything you can read on the internet for free?

Arnie, the subscription is for my mom. Although she has access to internet, she just doesn't like to sit at the computer reading stories. She prefers print. Likely an age thing, since she is 74.

I didn't know there were any NFL-only magazines out there. And while reading stories online is okay, sometimes print is just better. I might check those suggestions out as well.

I feel that print is more appropriate in the bathroom.

Sure, I've taken a laptop in there before, but sitting on your bare legs can get mighty hot and even burn...

Have you ever heard of Lindys Sports Magazines? They offer a wide range of magazines that are very topic specific. For example, you can get issues that focus on specific teams, fantasy issues, draft issues, etc. I always get the pre draft magazine, which is nice, but it comes out before the combine, which has it's drawbacks.

The league made a big splash last year that they were coming out with NFL Magazine but it whimpered and died on the vine. They had to return money to those who subscribed.

Just not a big demand these days... good luck

Right, a magazine is out-of-date the day it's mailed or on the news stands. With our online access, and cable sports news, print is antiquated. Many newspapers are also feeling the pinch of Enews as well... Bc
