OT- Could he be the first real Brit to play in the NFL (Besides kickers)
I know a lad called Elliot Hoyte (19) who has gone over to Boise state on a scholarship, he was scouted at some camp in America sometime in 2011, and played for the "Great Britain Lions" national American Football team. He was also a very talented rugby player for one of the best school teams in England (Ivybridge rugby club).
Trust me when I say this, he's the real deal. 6'5 and 275 lb, he is a freakish DE, played offensive tackle for his school/club team the Bristol Aztecs, can also play LB.
Rooting for this guy to go all the way!

There are others
Tom Wort is from Sussex and moved with his family to the States when he was 14
Play middle linebacker for Oklahoma Sooners, that's a top program.
Is a junior now
Daily Mail did a story on him last year

I don't know if he'll get drafted but he is a starter for a big college, certainly looking good

Good luck to your friend, I'm just replying to the question in the title

Boise State is a great school to go to if your dream is to play in the NFL. They've put a lot of players into the pros the past decade
