Ted Cruz beats GOP Establishment, Dewhurst
Pay attention folks.
The second most populous state in the country is about to put a man in the US Senate who had ZERO backing from the GOP establishment.
Leave your opinions about the GOP / Tea Party aside. This is the son of a Cuban immigrant, who fought against the rise of Fidel Castro and would eventually flee to America with $10 sewn into his underwear.
Now that son of a Cuban immigrant will be a US Senator. Regardless of your politics, this is a momentous occasion .... and one, I am sure, the media will gloss over since he's a conservative Republican.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. Good stuff.
Congress needs more folks who know what it's like to come from very little or nothing. I know there are some in there now with backgrounds like that, but they are few and far between. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Yea, and I remember someone here saying that the
Tea Party was dead or almost dead.
News of their death was pre-mature.
Pic of a natural act.
