According to McKinnie...
He and Ngata passed the conditioning test today.
We'll see how long after it takes for them to hit the practice field.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Good. Did anyone here see (maybe linked here somewhere already) the video of the Ravens media guy running the OL conditioning test? It must be something to watch the big man hustle back and forth like that.
edit: Found the link.Festivus
His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

This is good news. They'll be eased back into service slowly.
After 5 years of early exits, the journey is finally complete.

Guess he wasn't as out of shape as some thought.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Everybody that has seen him at various points this entire offseason has said that he looks slimmer every time they saw him...so I don't know why people continued to make statements about how fat and out of shape he is.
I assume people were just pissed about him not showing up so they just went with whatever they believed in their own mind.

Re: According to McKinnie...
It is much easier to say he is a fat out of shape loser and speculate on things we know nothing about. Seems to be a national past time with certain players around here.
Actually if you follow him on twitter you would know, because he was playing tennis pretty much every day in the days leading up to camp and he was tweeting about other workouts he was doing as well.Follow me on Twitter! https://twitter.com/#!/thenflanalyst

Re: According to McKinnie...
Nobody agrees with showing up late to camp.
Just the people saying it was because he was fat and scared to show up because of his weight (based on absolutely nothing), was baseless speculation.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Actually, it wasn't baseless--he showed up at just shy of 400 pounds in the offseason last year, which is why he was cut by the Minnesota Vikings. He's struggled with weight and motivation issues his entire career. It's not unreasonable at all to speculate that trend may have continued this past offseason.
Now, there may not have been a GOOD basis on which to make that conclusion, but that's a different conversation. We're talking about evidence of his past pattern of behavior vs. evidence that his behavior has changed. When someone has a track record, the burden of proof is on them to overcome it.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Harbaugh is the one who was skeptical. That and McKinnie not reporting on time is what led to the speculation. Seems reasonable to me

Re: According to McKinnie...
Anyone know what the max. time for WR's and DB's for the conditioning test is?

Re: According to McKinnie...
McKinnie is probably a miserable, unmotivated dummy who has squandered his God-given physical ability. He is also at the moment probably the best LT on the team. I think he can give the team one more reasonable year. It's up to the FO to use that time to find his replacement.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Again, people that saw him this offseason all have said that he looked slimmer at various points.
Maybe he didn't lose 50 pounds at the rate some of you wanted, but the guy was in the process of losing weight.

Re: According to McKinnie...
If McKinnie gets himself into shape and is ready to go for the season, does anyone think that the Ravens will still make him pay that fine? I doubt they will.

He had his Dr call out of work for him. Harbs was obviously pissed about that. Maybe he lost his weight, maybe he is ready to roll. But its hard to trust a man that can't make the phone call himself. We all want him in shape for the sake of the team, but we all also want him to be motivated and ready to roll come September.

Re: According to McKinnie...
Some of you are arguing a point that I never, ever made.
I am ONLY talking about his weight.
NOT whether he had a good excuse to go AWOL last week. I am not debating that he is an idiot and was completely unprofessional with the way he handled the AWOL situation. I TOTALLY AGREE with that.
My only point was for the people who tried to make it out as if he let himself go this offseason and/or didn't lose any weight and tried to use that as his excuse.
I think the real answer is he's an idiot and he's used to teams/people taking his bullshit. NOT that he was a fat piece of shit who sat on his couch and ate burrito's all day.
