New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
It seems a lot of people are getting fed up with these lies or a lot of people know DEMs are making crap up about Romney. See his not paying taxes thread. I said there all he has to do is show the records and it will shut them up.
Have the you seen the latest ad about a guy who was fired from Bain and lost his health insurance. Then his wife got sick and died because they had no insurance.
He blames Romney and said he doesn't even know or
care that he killed her. Typical DEM ploy.
That is a lie because Romney wasn't even at Bain in 07 when she died. He left Bain in 01
so he had nothing to do with the dismissal.
In fact, when the dude was fired the wife
had a job in a thrift shop and had her own
health insurance that kept her going.
So they had insurance.
The same thing happened to my brother when he lost his job. His wife got a job and got their health insurance and she's still working after being a stay at home mom for 21 years.
The lies are taking the focus off the economy and jobs and the people aren't being fooled.
That said, OBY is pulling ahead in Florida and Ohio at last count by +6. If OBY gets them it's over by 8:30 pm on election night.
Rasmussen still has them about even.Pic of a natural act.

Saw it. It's an awful ad and provides no direct correlation at all to Bain nor Romney. No one, I think, will see this ad and get off the fence though. The general Bain "concern" has pulled those people already.

You saw it. I saw it this morning. It was all over FOX early on, several times. Hannity and O Rawley will be
showing it tonight.
The guy blames Romney for killing his wife. Said he probably doesn't even no or care about it.Pic of a natural act.

Well the word is getting out about the lie Obama camp says it had no knowledge of this story.. it told in May.

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
While calling Ron Paul a racist is bad. This is way worse.
I honestly can't think of one thing in presidential politics as bad as this.
First off the ad leaves out some many facts, second the campaign new the story they claimed to not know about and third they are saying Mitt Romney is responsible for this woman's death. This is a new low for ANY campaign...We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid. - Benjamin Franklin

And NOW I'm getting pissed at Romney. He needs to be out there angry over this. He is basically letting Obama call him a murderer, and not responding at all.
I get not general campaigning yet. But to stay silent over this??? What the hell are you doing Mitt???

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
He is responding, barely. To be honest I am getting pissed about how they are responding.
I'd be OUTRAGED. If I was Mitt I would leak I am going to have a press conference to announce my VP to get tons of media coverage and then tell how BHO's campaign knew about this story most likely coordinated with the SUPER PAC, lied about the story and BLAST him for not asking the Super PAC to take down the ad.We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid. - Benjamin Franklin

Twice now Mitt could have pounced and he's balked.

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
Except the President didn't call Mitt anything.
As Mitt has pointed out when ads from SuperPACs supporting him have been disingenuous in the past, candidates can't have influence over or relationships with these groups. Any criticism of the President, rather than the rules themselves, would ring rather hollow with objective observers in the middle. He's already got his sheeple locked in irrespective of this ad.
I would like to see the President repudiate the ad. But for context, it isn't airing, and the President is unlikely to be happy with it given even so-called "liberal, mainstream" media outlets like CNN have been criticizing it for the last 24 hours.
I don't like the ad at all, but this is what the Roberts court has given America.

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
Wait... I thought this ad was unprecedented in it's scurrilousness.
Just because things have long been bad on the campaign trail (which they have) doesn't mean they couldn't (and haven't) gotten substantially worse on both sides of the aisle as a result of the Citizens United ruling. We regressed when we needed progressive reform of the way campaigns operate.
Another word for that is regulation. Of course, regulation that produces accountability is something every American should support (unless they (like you) approve of the political climate this ruling has given us).

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
I saw the link. That story was told by a voter from his own perspective, and had nothing to do with the President's position or this ad itself. You can hold the President personally accountable for his words if you choose, but I think that's unfair and distracts from the bigger issues of how campaigns work. I think that should be the takeaway from this ad and those like them.
I don't own a TV so I can't tell you much about media coverage. But just because you and those like you don't watch CNN, I know that perhaps tens of millions of people watch it. I happened to see Anderson Cooper last night, where he spent a segment highlighting the inaccuracies in the ad, and directly confronting the ad's creator about how disingenuous it was.

Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
This has nothing to do with the link, the link talks about how Obama's own campaign staff knew about this in May when THEY hosted a conference call with this guy. I am not holding the President personally accountable for the guys words. I am saying his staff coordinated with Priorities USA or at the very least made them aware of this story
http://www.deadline.com/2012/06/cnn-...econd-quarter/
Far cry, from "tens of millions". Just imagine how far you're off with other things you think you "know"CNN hit a low among total viewers and the key adults 25-54 demographic, with all primetime programs posting steep declines. The network averaged 446,000 total viewers and 129,000 in the 25-54 demo in primetime. We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid. - Benjamin Franklin

Actually, CNN has been doing a great job recently. I find myself watching it more often than other networks.
Just a shame they came late to the party with trying to be down the middle. They may be out of business soon.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. Re: New dem ad smears/lies about mitt killing woman
Your link doesn't tell me anything about how many individual people watch CNN. It talks about primetime nightly averages.Far cry, from "tens of millions". Just imagine how far you're off with other things you think you "know"
Either way, I've acknowledged I don't know anything about media. But congratulations for defeating me in an internet forum on a subject I've already acknowledged I know nothing about, and then applying that logic to the rest of my opinions to conclusively determine that I am in fact the village idiot.
You can FINALLY sleep at night. Congratulations.
