Re: Draft stuff...Tyrann Mathieu
LSU has already said there is no truth to the reports that he may sit out a year and return. He was dismissed from the team permanently; better make that trip to N. Alabama

Re: Draft stuff...Tyrann Mathieu
Not true. There has been alot of misinformation being put out by the local newspapers. LSU's Assistant Athletic Director came out and said that Mathieu is not ineligible permanently. He is just ineligible at LSU for this season. However, he still is deciding between going to McNeese or Nicholls State, ala L. Webb, or possibly coming back to LSU next year. It's still a fluid situation so things may change. McNeese did start classes on Wednesday though. Mathieu did have a phone conversation with Miles earlier in the week but he didn't say what it was about. I just thought I would shed some light on the situation.

"He's permanently ineligible to play football at LSU," Bahnsen said in a telephone interview Monday afternoon. "That's definite. That's what was said Friday."World Domination 3 Points at a Time!

Local news here in Houston is reporting he's in a drug rehab facility in town and has been since Monday.

Rehab for weed, seriously?
Herb Vincent
@LSUherbvin 13 Aug To clarify: Tyrann Mathieu has the option to go to LSU as a student. LSU is not speculating on his football future.World Domination 3 Points at a Time!

ESPN has it on their crawl as well.
His father was interviewed on a LA radio station and broke the news.

Re: Draft stuff...Tyrann Mathieu
Heard on the radio that what Houston is saying is true, and that the Honey Badger will not attend any school this year, nor will he be playing college football this year.
I wonder if he will go after the CFL or AFL after rehab?
And there is nothign synthetic abotu Marijuana. It's one or the other. either it was weed or somehtign synthetic. I don't think the terms should be interchangeable or even grouped together.

Re: Draft stuff...Tyrann Mathieu
If he's indeed in rehab, I have to think there is something else going on (i.e. another drug addiction we don't know about).
That, or he's in rehab solely for the sake of appearances, grasping that LSU will take him back next season.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence. Spice & several other chemicals are considered "synthetic" marijuana or a synthetic "cannabinoid". It doesn't refer to creating a faux plant, so much as the chemical (THC) reproduction that is found naturally in the plant. That's where the synthetic term comes from.

Like HR and others above have stated...there must be something else going on here...alcholoism...cocaine...pharmies...something like that. Going to rehab for pot just doesn't make a whole lot of sense. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Re: Draft stuff...Tyrann Mathieu
Both stayed out for ridiculous reasons, trying to enter the draft earlier than the NFL allows. That was a whole other kind of stupid, imo. Drugs/alcohol, teams seem to be forgiving if you atleast make an effort to get over it. not saying they wont see him as a risk, because they will, but it may be the difference in getting drafted or not.
