As far as I'm concerned, we're 0-2 in the preseason. Got beat by the first teamers.

The deep pass was probably more on Considine, who looked to be late getting over.

By the time the Lions scored, Ray and Ed were already on the bench. Maybe a few others as well.

Just saying, in man coverage you look at the man until you see the receiver put his hands up. Did you hear the defense yell BALL!! as soon as they threw it, he whipped his head around the ball was already there. He had a better chance at keeping his eyes on Johnson and waiting for the ball to come so he could try to swat it away.

To be fair if we judged every game by the first quarter last year we'd be 5-11....

I wouldn't make such a general, statement.

Thats true, but Jimmy Smith looked totally lost on the play... he didn't seem to know where the ball was... That, alone, concerns me...

Obviously, it ia CJ... He would have caught it regardless, but I like to see our corners know where the ball is.

In one sense I am still wondering where all the explosive offense is.

Then I look and see basically our 4th and 5th receivers starting, neither starting TE, and Ray Rice with a handful of plays.

You do realize that Webb, Reed, and Ray wasn't in that series... We got the upper hand 1st team versus 1st team

Well it was great coverage, vs the best receiver in the Game.. If 3 guys cant stop it, i'm not putting that much emphasis on that play, vs damn near every other receiver in the NFL that's an incomplete pass, are we gonna play CJ every week?

I agree. I was trying to explain that in man coverage you should be looking at the receiver.. that is the technique.
