Re: Game thread- Jacksonville @ Baltimore (Pre season)
Rainey and Thompson have looked significantly better and more explosive at returner than Jacoby Jones.
And "he's going against 3rd stringers" isn't much of an excuse... as most STs players, outside of a few core guys, are backup caliber players anyway.

Re: Game thread- Jacksonville @ Baltimore (Pre season)
I fully agree. And I think Laquan (and Doss) look better than Jones as the #3 WR also. Obviously it is early, and obviously there is something to be said about having a lot of game experience, but I really don't see how Jones is really "needed." I know he is quality depth, but I suspect he will have the #3 WR spot handed to him (as well as the return duties), and I am not sure that is the right call.
I guess it is a good "problem" to have though, hard decisions about who gets the PT.

I really like Ricky Brown.
He's another one I am kind of rooting for to make the team. Kind of a no nonsense lunch pail LB.When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

So...what's the bad or ugly for this game?

Re: Game thread- Jacksonville @ Baltimore (Pre season)
True. I probably need to watch it again; at first glance I had attributed most of that to the blocking, but I may be remembering it incorrectly.
And I still think Jones is probably the best returner, but not by so much as to make him invaluable. My main concern is him being the #3 WR by default. I really think Laquan deserves it, and I probably would put Tandon in ahead of Jones also.
