Luck didn't look that good against the Redskins. He's obviously got a much better football head than most rookie QBs but I'm not ready to anoint him just yet.

I am too lazy to go find them, but somewhere someone posted the pre-season clippings from 1998 between Manning and Leaf. At the time, it was Leaf that was reportedly the "real deal". Not saying Luck is going to go down in flames like Leaf, just that it is way too early to tell.

He handles himself very well when the plays break down which is usually the big flaw in rookies.

I'm not quite sure yet about struck gold. Slapping Jacksonville around doesn't equal the mother lode yet. I do agree that AL has a lot of qualities that your looking for in a young QB. Cool under pressure. Good pocket presence. Accurate throws. I agree he could be a pain in the ass moving forward so long as the Colts surround this young man with some talent.

What Luck has done with this team is nothing short of remarkable, they have gone from worst team in football to a probable play off team in the wild card. I think they go 10-6 from here.
