When the old men tell their grandchildren about that kick, they'll say: "Rushed or no rushed, Stover would have made that kick blindfolded with one hand tied behind his back and the other carrying a baby.".
...and it will be true."When questioned, the Elders explained that they were in search of magical powers. However, they're actually searching for the whereabouts of a certain ring. This ring is a legendary treasure that long ago was known to exist"

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
You never know until the games are for real but I think we have a legit rookie now. He kicked in Texas and that is big time college football. I am sure he kicked under pressure in the past. We saw nothing so far to indicate that he cant handle the kicking game.

"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
The Ravens should have let Stover kick until he was in a wheel chair. The ironic thing is they got rid of him because they wanted a kicker who could be consistent from 50+ but it took them 3 years to find a guy that's even got the potential to do it. And that book is still unwritten.

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
He had a year for the ages IMHO in 2010. Absolutely terrific.
However, last year just left such a bad taste...and I'm not even basing that off of the NE kick. He not only struggled from 50+ (what has turned into a common NFL kick), but he alarmingly struggled a ton on the road. Basically, he seemed to be near perfect at home from 50 and in, but on the road, every kick was a 50-50 proposition. AND his kickoffs shockingly got pretty shorter.
I appreciate everything he did at the end of 2009 and through 2010...I really thought he was going to be a hell of a kicker for us for the next 5 years, but you can't overlook his past when a guy kicks like Tucker did this offseason.

Some of these comments are uncalled for. Just wish Cundiff well and show a little class. Seriously.

Why? He ran his trap the fans of Baltimore have every right to say what they please on here. I wouldn't have said a bad word about him.
I don't care if he was pissed. He missed the biggest kick of his career. That's the type of things you have to live with when you make good money to kick a football.
Thanks for 2010 Billy! As for last year, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
Hate to say it, but this is why residents of Baltimore have such a bad reputation all across the country. No class whatsoever.
One thing that Cundiff had was class, which is probably why he was so disliked. Show me a pro athlete who makes pro bowl one year and is out of a job 18 months later who is going to sit on his hands and say "I'm happy with how things are going". Cundiff's reaction was what you'd get from 99.9% of all pro athletes who were placed in a similar situation by their franchise.

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
Too bad he was never good enough to play soccer....we wouldnt even know his name. F him. Call me low class or whatever...but if i cost my company what he cost the ravens, i would have been fired too. And nobody would have a good thing to say about it either.

Re: Billy Cundiff appreciation threat
I appreciate the fact that he's no longer the kicker for the Ravens.

I wish him well, but there is no way in hell that he could have played here this year. He would get crucified on the first miss. Sad thing is that if Evans caught the fucking ball, we would not be having this discussion. I am really excited to see Tucker though.
