Game thread- Baltimore @ Saint Louis (Pre season)
Even though the last pre season games are pretty meaningless regarding the starting team, it's a chance to see how the younger/back ups do, and it will be interesting to see how the likes of Kindle does when his roster spot is really on the line this time around. Can Anthony Allen turn a shocking pre season around? This can be all found out in this game.

I want to see Omar Brown lock down this roster spot if he's not done so already
I think I read Considine is out tonight so the spot is there for the taking

Not much resistance here by the defense.
The DL is getting blown off the ball.

Pierce is looking good right now.

The #2 O looked good against that #1 D of the Rams (is it the #1 D?). Pierce getting some play and Doss again wth the hands.
Upshaw still didn't start on D, but it looks like both starting OLBs were in there on the first series.

Not many starters on that defense either against a full first team offense. No Ngata, no McPhee, no Ray Lewis, no Pollard, Reed or Webb. Jameel McClain isn't playing either.

This D could really struggle if they suffer some injuries.

Ayenbadejo seems asleep at the wheel. Second team D is dazed and confused.
TD Rams.

WTF was that from BA???

Went for the strip, didn't get it, and just stops and watches the guy run away from him.

You guys need to relax, this is the Rams first team offense, plus they are playing so vanilla lol.

It's going to take Upshaw a bit to reach his potential IMO.
He could get away with overpowering collegiate tackles, but it's going to take more than that in the NFL.
I'm also holding back some judgement for now because realistically, no one on the defense is displaying a lot of pass rushing success right now. I think a lot of that is by design. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Re: Game thread- Baltimore @ Saint Louis (Pre season)
Not just talking about this game.
He hasn't done much of anything rushing the passer in all 3 games he's played.
I don't see how anybody could say he hasn't been a disappointment when his claim to fame is rushing the passer but can't get off of blocks.
I'm not saying he's a bust or anything, just so far, in all the games I've seen and from the reports I've read this camp, he really hasn't done anything so far. I'm sure he'll improve, but anybody expecting him to contribute early this season...it's not looking like it's going to happen.

This expected with them going against the ones. I hope the Rams aren't using this to gauge where there are as a team. It's varsity vs JV out there.

I know it's one play, but that last play sums up why I've felt KO is a guard, not a tackle

Howard was the tackle and KO is the guard.
