Nothing shocks me in the NFL, hell football Period. I just saw #8 Arkansas lose to Louisiana Monroe last night... Sooo that being said, anything is possible.

Disappointed yes, shocked no. The Bengals have a good young team. I think the emotional edge the Ravens will have going in this week will help them win this game.

Re: Would you be Shocked if the Ravens lost Monday?
This right here is my biggest concern not only for monday but the entire season.
So far in pre-season we haven't shown the ability to do much of either with any kind of consistency which is highly concerning to me.
IMO the offense will have to carry this team this year which we haven't seen have to do in quite some time.
I think we will have to put up more points per game then we're use to seeing and quite frankly, nobody really knows if they can actually do it because we haven't had to see them do it to this capacity.
So to answer the original question, no, wouldn't shock me at all against an inner division opponent that historically as of recent years has played us very tough, knows us well, and by all accounts so far has an improved squad.

Hi, guys. It's that time already. I would be surprised if the Bengals can pull out a win. Tall order to start out season at the Vault. I think it will be a great game regardless.

I don't think they let T. Smith beat them this year. I would still be surprised though.

Re: Would you be Shocked if the Ravens lost Monday?
would not be shocked. our pass rush is a concern. if we can get pressure I think we'll be okay. The Ravens have traditionally struggled against big-time passing teams, witness losses in past to Pats, Squealers, Bengals, Peyton, Chargers. I wonder if the Bengals will be the Next Big Team in the NFL. hopefully not.

Re: Would you be Shocked if the Ravens lost Monday?
Watching some of the season opener scores, I feel that first games are fools gold. So no, I would not be shocked if they lost, but I would question their readiness.
Every year a team loses that apparently shouldn't have and the analyst around the league go into panic mode.

The Ravens have proven their ability to lose to anyone. Cam could give Rice just 4 or 5 touches. C Williams could be burned numerous times. Joe could have one of those games. We SHOULD win . . .

Re: Would you be Shocked if the Ravens lost Monday?
Can never tell with this offense. It looks like it could be a tremendous group and Flacco looks like he's elevated his play to new heights, but the early 3 and outs still worry me. I pray they don't come out flat offensively. Also, will the no huddle always be beneficial and will that decrease Ray's touches (big problem last year)? Defensively, it'll be interesting. Who steps up at OLB? Do we have enough pass rush? Will Cary and Jimmy hold their own? A lot of question marks on defense. I'd love to say we won't take a step back on D, but it just doesn't seem as strong as in years past (Suggs being out is obviously a very big blow) and can the offense carry the load for the majority of the game? One thing is for sure though. It is going to be a chaotic, loud, emotional place tomorrow night and Ray will be the centerpiece as always. Anything is certainly possible and I'm looking forward to tomorrow night.

Re: Would you be Shocked if the Ravens lost Monday?
Shit greenbay just lost at home, im not liking this trend right now.
"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle
