I mean, let me clarify, I'm not saying that the no huddle would have continued to be successful, but it was working and it was keeping the Eagles from rotating DL'men in as much as they did in the 2nd half and that is a big deal when you're facing a team like the Eagles who run a wide-9 defensive front.

The offense was bad. Flacco was bad, but he is not the reason we lost this game. It was a total team loss where our OL (outside of perhaps Yanda) looked like 5 big guys plucked off the street, our WRs looked like they were running in slow motion, and our OC forgot how to call a winning game.

I know the fun narrative will be "it's all Flacco's fault," but that's absolutely idiotic. The only players who deserved their pay today were Rice and Tucker
I don't know about the others you quoted, but I'm not blaming Joe for the loss...although if he played better in the second half, no question we win.

At the moment I posted that, we had a clear chance to win if Joe keeps his head in the game and we don't try and go for the damn home run on virtually every down...and when he didn't, he wasn't accurate on the short throws.

I think the defense sucks worse than the offense. If it wasn't for Vick throwing picks and fumbles, the score would've been worse than what it was. Philly has a good-great D, and the Ravens just played trying to get the ball. They weren't stopping shit else. Similar to last week in the first 3 quarters.

    And so did this D.

We face an angry Pats next week, and have a real chance of going 1-2.

    What do you mean???

He threw a TD to Jacoby. Played bad before that but that non-TD should've sealed it.
He also missed a wide open Pitta in the endzone. He underthrew Torrey Smith by a mile on what would have been a TD if Joe hits him in stride. He took a terrible sack that, if not for Tuckers leg knocks us out of field goal range. Make all the excuses you want for Joe, he had far more bad plays than good ones today.

I usually try to support Flacco but I am sick of the hype. He's not nearly as good as he thinks he is.

So everyone but Joe played like shit?

I can name you a bunch of players who didn't "let Joe down". Comon man, that's BS, Joe played bad and that's it.

Exactly. Hell right now Pees is making Mattison look like Rex Ryan for Gods sake. So much talent on this team with two coordinators who completely lack any ability to adjust or be imaginative. Unbelievable

the refs were letting the cb's hold the receiver. the problem was our cb's were not close enough to the receivers to hold them.

    Agreed.

Though Ravens fans the world ovwer have their hands on their ears going "lalalalalalalal ddaddadadad I can't hear you I'm going to blame Joe despite the D letting up 500 yards and the refs not calling that TD lalalalalalala la la alal a.

Pretty much how it will go this week.

    Same with eSPN/NFLN.

That's the dumbest thing I've read in a long time, who the fuck causes turnovers? Oh yeah our offense causes Vick to throw picks I guess...

The offense was worse than the defense tonight, if our offense could actually get anything going, maybe our D would have looked better with more breaks and time to rest.

They were exhausted because they couldn't get off the field all game. That's not the offenses fault./ 500 yards of offense by the Eagles.

Were we watching the same first half? The Ravens were not nearly as up tempo as they were last week, not even in the first half.

Wait, which side put 23 points on the board? Yes the offense was dead in the second half, but come on this is not fair at all.

If Pollard is healthy, maybe he can roll on his angle again.

You mean the one of a million times he was getting pressured.

You're not going to tell me that apart from Ben, QBs are more accurate whilst under pressure, right?

    Did not think so.

When they did get off the field, we went three and out half (or more than half?) the time. Get off the field, and right back on. Its not entirely the offense's fault, but it certainly contributed

The dumbest thing huh? How the fuck do you give up 500 yards then? Come on man really?!? I know most people here have a stiffy for the D but call a spade a fucking spade! They played like shit too! Worse THAN the offense! They HAD a 6 point lead at the end of the game. I didn't see them 'bend but don't break!'

The offense had 3? straight 3 and outs in the middle of the 3rd quarter the criticism is very fair.

Not saying we need to let the defense off the hook because they were fucking terrible ALL GAME, not just after getting gased in the 2nd half.

No. The narrative would be that Joe played poorly, but recovered to pull the game out in the end. And that would be the truth. He did play poorly, but stepped up when he was needed.

Joe isn't going to avoid bad plays every single game. He's going to make mistakes and hurt the team. The problem with people's perception of Joe is that when he has a cold streak and throws a bunch of bad passes, those mistakes are seen as more significant than all the other mistakes in the game, so much so that they absolve the other players' failures.

If Michael Oher lets Trent Cole run right by him into the backfield, pressuring Joe before he gets to the top of his drop and the play finishes developing, that's a mistake, right? And if Joe throws a bad pass as a result of that pressure, then they both made mistakes, right?

That's all I'm saying. It's too much for some to hear.
