Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
We need to be resigned to the fact that Cam is here this year. Bisciotti already put Cam on notice with his year end press conference last season. Having said that I've supported Cam from 2008-2010. 2011 my support started to waver. Two games into the season I see the same stubborness appear. At first glance I like the aggressiveness the Ravens showed in trying to pass, pass, pass but realized later that it was indeed an epic fail in those 3rd and short situations. I would have like to see the Ravens dictate the tempo but they didn't try this often at all.

I dunno about that.
When they kept CAM last year he called Ozzie to thank him and
Oz said it was never in our minds that you were leaving.
It sure was in the fans minds.Pic of a natural act.

Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
Cam just can't help himself. He saw how successful the up tempo offense was in the opener but he goes back to the same crap that led to games like Jax and Seattle last year. He just insists on pounding that square peg into that round hole. With our schedule, we're going to need LOTS of points this year. We should be in the up tempo scheme every play except the kneel down at the end.

Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
I don't think anything.
Pops Mattison's bland as hell defense with even less secondary talent produced a high ranked defense, so IMO I see no reason whatsoever why this defense cannot finish with a top tiered ranking. Top 5? Maybe not, but I don't think they'll finish in the bottom of the league. There are a lot of new parts on the defense right now and they're all figuring it out as they go.
I'm not crazy about the defense so far, but I will say that the defense with Pollard out was VASTLY different than when he was in there. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

And Ozzie works for who again? Oh, right. Bisciotti. The guy who canned Billick after giving him a contract extension worth big money.
If Bisciotti comes down and tells Ozzie that this shit isn't working and to fix it, guess what? He goes to Harbs and says we need to re-evaluate the coaching staff and then Harbs can rant and rave all he wants about how great Cam is (or whoever) and Ozzie can just say "I'm sorry John, but we need to go in another direction offensively because it's been 5 years now and this still is way too inconsistent."When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Also true.
Week 1 is what makes the Eagles game so obnoxious. The Eagles' D is better than the Bengals' D, no doubt, but the game plan was just so damn night and day...it just doesn't make sense at all. It seriously does beg the question of who was really calling the plays. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Yup...and I'd be way less po'd if we were consistently bad. I'd have no expectation of a championship then. But THIS mess that we continually get treated to has got to stop.
Kind of hoping the offensive struggles til Halloween. We lose our 5 or 6 games before then, Cammie gets canned, we run the table, make the playoffs and whatever happens, happens

Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
We should conduct a poll on the reason for keeping Cam next year. we've seen it all, rookie quarterback, loss of continuity losing two coaches, not a viable replacement available, too many people in flacco's head, etc. It's comical that some people on this board actually think that Bisciotti would ever fire Cameron, no matter how bad our offense is.

Certainly StevieB gave John a call and asked him, "so tell me why was it that my $35M man had less carries than Joe had hurries?"

Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
Hate to post this on a "Cam" thread, but I thouhgt the defense was playing way too soft. Seemed they were more worried about Vick scrambling than mounting a pass rush. Eagle receivers were too wide open over the middle. Do agree however that 2nd half was a mess.

Re: What's it going to take to get Cam out of this city?
I agree!
After watching the first two games (which were basically a repeat of last year's first two game) I am resigned to the fact that the Ravens will not make the playoffs - and that the ONLY two things that will come out of 2012 will be the emergence of Justin Tucker as a premier NFL kicker and the firing of Cam Cameron.
The defense is too soft and the offense is too inconsistentt to beat many of the top tier team on our 2012 schedule. I think an over all record of 9W and 7L would be somewhat of a minor miracle.
Joe Flacco has all the potential in the world - enough to be a top 3 QB. He will never reach that potential under Cameron. I stated in earliers posts going back the last three weeks or so that the only thing that could stop the Ravens is Cam - and it looks like I'm right. Anyone with HALF A BRAIN would play Joe out of the shotgun/hurry up 60-70% of the time (especially with our O line). Back the Titanic up again Cam and have another go at that iceberg!
