I won't be there but I've been all baseball all week. Texas scares me and having Saunders on the hill doesn't pump confidence into me but it is what it is. I'll be rooting for the best!

Crazy that it's just a one game "series". Really should be 2 of 3, but I digress. Anything can happen here. O's need to be patient with Darvish. Saunders isn't a bad situation really, he's got experience, though I'd rather have had Tillman or Gonzales on the mound.

Buck sure has a lot of faith in Saunders despite his 0-6 record in Arlington and an ERA above 9. The one thing we have going in our favor is that we are catching the Rangers at the perfect time.

Saunders' last start against Texas was good. He went 7 innings only giving up 1 run.

Buck has to be in the conversation for manager of the year. Great game, great season.

There is no truth to the rumor that the Orioles rented several mules last night for the team to practice on this morning...is there?

I didn't think they had a prayer last night. Never so happy to be so wrong!

Absolutely!!! I have to admit. I was a little skeptical with Buck's decision to go with Saunders given his track record against the rangers in Arlington but he went against the grain choosing instead to go with experience and knowing full well that the Rangers were a struggling ballclub ripe for the picking!

There is no conversation. Buck is 100% manager of the year.

Yeah it's a no brainer. Oakland was a great story too, but what Buck did was flat out amazing. Lose your top two hitters? No problem. All your projected starters suck balls? No problem. This isn't just the best managerial job of the year, it's one of the all-time greats in baseball.
