Man, everytime I complain about our coaches, I'm going to look at Cleveland and laugh at Pat Shurmur.

That complete lack of confidence in his defense with over 3 minutes left after they were completely shutting our offense down was one of the worse decisions I can ever remember.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Serves the Browns right that the last time they won was on a play that was reviewed illegally.

true, but that would have felt like a hollow loss considering the refs massively screwed that up

Browns should fire Shurmur. Cam just can't manage a game and is WAY to predictable. Shurmur going for it on 4th and 2 was stupid at his 28 with 4 minutes and 2 timeouts. He made it a 2 score game, pathetic. Anyone who thinks football coaches are geniuses are idiots.

OK, unhappy about the lack of discipline, unhappy how the offense can disappear for long periods of time, unhappy that Cary Williams can't cover his bed, unhappy that penalties for the Ravens is like potato chips, to paraphrase, can't GET just one, unhappy that the coaching staff are a bunch of overpaid stiffs, unhappy that each week my BP goes through the roof watching the game.

Ok, HAPPY, that the Ravens are 6-2--beats 5-3 anyday of the week. And, since the beer is cold I plan to chug a few as I watch the Giants kick some Steeler butt.

The week will be a lot better than if the Ravens had lost.

One of two or three late leads blown by the defense that season. Patriots and Browns and one more, I think. Offense had major injuries.

It was ugly for stretches. But, it was a win. It only needed a 2nd gear performance from the offense in the 2 and 3rd qs for this to become a dominant win. Still, not to be too revisionist.

    Let's go beat the Raiders.

Probably the Dolphins. Although, we lost that one on a Greg Camirillo TD in OT.

The defense didn't blow ANYTHING in that patriots game. The refs were 100% in the tank for the patriots that game.

Early in the game they were running the ball well and on third and less than a yard they threw incomplete passes. Couldn't believe it, heis struggling

Man that was some ugly stuff. Even though Flacco sleepwalks through multiple quarters and the OL blows at times, I really think we could be pretty consistent with some imaginative gameplans and an OC who can adjust in-game. Cam just can't hack it.

If you think Cam is bad, whoever was calling the offensive plays for the Browns should be fired. They did us several favors today with some very strange playcalling.

Maybe but they also don't have our personnel. Cam acts like he has Cleveland's offense instead of Flacco, Rice, Boldin, Smith, Pitta, etc, etc.
