    Guns...

    Get em while you can.

I know this would have to be ratified by the Senate, but this is something to keep an eye on.

Won't happen and frankly, really won't have an impact on sales here really.

    Re: Guns...

Like I said, I know the Senate would have to ratify it, which getting 66 Senators to do , is almost impossible.

It's just something to keep an eye on is all.

I dont think were the ones the treaty is really for. More like Russia and other countries to get their shit together. Im not sure why Obama gets such grief about guns. Hes typically been very pro-2nd amendment, just not in the wrong hands, which isnt that what we all want?

The only law i knew he passed regarding guns, allowed them in more areas.

Apathy towards the 2nd Amendment does not equal support towards the 2nd Amendment. If the numbers were on his side, he'd do everything he can to ban guns.

Thankfully, the numbers are not on his side.

And I'd love to see what law he passed that allowed them in more areas. I challenge that 100%.

    Challenge accepted.

A bill that Obama signed in May permits licensed gun owners to bring firearms into national parks and wildlife refuges as long as state law allows it. The new law, which takes effect in February, will replace rules from the Reagan administration that generally require that guns in national parks be locked or stored in a glove compartment or trunk.

A little persnickety, but touche I suppose.

The law is incredible narrow and a hallow gesture. You cannot bring said gun into ANY building or structure that happen to sit in the park. So if you're a hunter, you still have to risk having the weapon stolen by leaving it in your vehicle, or worse, in a tent, if you ever have to head inside.

This is a kin to when some blue states like Maryland tout "hey, we allow our citizens to carry concealed" because there is a concealed carry law on the books. Meanwhile, they make it so difficult to actually make it happen it still ends up being a defacto ban.

Which is why I find it so confusing to hear some people say Obama is gonna take away your guns.

I'm all for gun control (control being out of wrong hands and in responsible ones), but this will never see the light of day.

    Officially jealous.

Are you adding this to it?

An add-on single shot 40 x 46mm grenade launcher module can be quickly attached to the rail system of all models without tools

    Re: Guns...

If Im not mistaken, this law is in regards to arms trafficking/trade, like organizations in one nation funneling guns to some other hostile nations. They've already said this law will NOT over-ride any country's domestic gun laws. Relax fellas, this law will not have anything to do with your ability to go to walmart or bass pro and arm to your heart's content. the only country not voting for it is Russia (care to guess why?).

Doesn't matter the state. You have to go through the ATF for that.

Texas isn't as easy as you think for a CHL though. You have to attend a two day class, pass a written test, qualify with your weapon (shoot 80% or better), get fingerprinted and pass a criminal background check.

Senator Feinstein is going to propose legislation to ban my birthday present, per MarketWatch.

Thank Jeebus the House is GOP controlled. Won't ever pass.

Not too mention a few Democrat Senators that likely wouldn't vote for it.

Question HR. I'm looking for another gun. Something like a mini 14, but with better range. Not sure I want a AR because of their reputation for jamming, any suggestions?

Early AR's jammed, not the ones made these days. You can't go wrong with either really. A friend of mine as a mini and it's a great gun.

I recommend AR's without reservation though. Are you looking to hunt with it as well? Or just something fun to shoot?

Ideally, It like to have something for both. A true hunting rifle that I could shoot up to 400 yards (if I'm capable, but I'd at least like the gun to be) and something for fun. Right now I'd be happy with a mix of the two, got another kid on the way so the budget is smaller...

You're going to spend around $1,000 for a quality AR. Bushmaster's M4 Carbine is a very reliable model. It's modular (AR's are the Lego sets of guns) and they have decent customer service.

You may also want to give Red Jacket a try. Their new Direct Impingement AR's are getting great reviews and are in the same price range. They guarantee all of their weapons for life. Only down side there is you'd have to wait 4-6 months because demand for their weapons are insane right now.
