Man, he and Torrey are really nice on the same page tonight.

Someone is going to intercept one of those passes by Flacco in the flats to his right.

Is it too much to ask for an offensive TD? Is it??

And where is Harbaugh to override a dumb playcall like that?

This is a contract year for Joe, you realize. Him running the play called by Cam is the smart thing for him to do, even if he doesn't believe in it. Because if he runs the play as called, it gives him leverage that his woes might be the fault of the play calling, but if he goes rogue and his ideas don't work, it just makes him look much worse, and insubordinate to boot. Which would be catastrophic to his contract talks.

Steelers playing good double team defense on Torrey. A double move might get him open deep.

Man, one time Rice should not have cut back inside. He could have gotten the 1st down if he kept outside.

Yes! Boldin! Another awful pay call that wasn't nearly far enough down field for the first. Boldin earned that all on his own.

Yeah, Joe needs to look elsewhere.

The overthrow to Torrey may have been intentional... as Cris Collinsworth pointed out, the Steelers were running in-and-out. So, the safety was showing playing "up" at the line, but dropped out to cover the underneath while Taylor played over the top (opposite of traditional bracket coverage.)

It may have fooled Flacco and he intentionally threw it out of bounds. I think he's stretching at this point to get Torrey the ball and get him involved, but they need to 1) get on the same page w/route depth, timing, etc. and 2) throw the ball only when it's there.

I still find it odd that there are so few plays to the middle of the field. Other than a handful of passes, almost everything is to the sidelines.

I too have noticed this. Seems like Cam forgets about that part of the field.
