Re: The Thanksgiving Day Game(s) Thread

I'd like to take the opportunity of Graham's miss and Thanksgiving, to be thankful for Justin Tucker.

    He was down. Damnit.

A tie does nothing for us in terms of playoff seeding. We need a loss here.

Oh, I get it - they only rule down by contact when it benefits the Texans. Gotcha.

Did Schwartz really attempt a 47 yard kick on 3rd and 11?
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Gift TD given to the Texans not included, Detroit had their opportunities to win, and they blew it.

Schwartz needs to be fired, been saying it for awhile. This game summarizes his tenure perfectly. Flashes of great play followed by undisciplined bone headed plays, topped of with mental mistakes and lapses in judgement that cost them the game.

I'm feeling the same pain you are right now. It's another game this season that a team can claim as a victory, but they had too much help getting there. Granted the Texans are a good, resilient team, but they had the benefit of a free touchdown. The game should never have gone to overtime. Even though the refs ruled correctly, according to the present rules, the Lions were robbed. OK, give a 15-yard penalty, but don't take away the ability to review the play and make it right on the field. That's horrible.

Say one thing, say another, the Texans have the look of a Super Bowl team, not only because of their play, but because they're getting all the breaks and all the bounces. That happened to us in 2000 as well. We would not have made it to the SB had it not been for Al Del Greco missing two kicks in one game against us. Unfortunately for us, these Texans have that look.

They've won against two losing teams. Lets not crown them champs yet
