Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
It does affect the Ravens - a Pit loss and a Bal win today means the Ravens could clinch the division next week with a win over the Steelers (unless the Bengals spoil it by winning the next two. they have Palmer and the Raiders visiting today and off to San Diego next week).
Even if Pit win today, the Ravens will clinch soon enough providing business is taken care of. Still, anyone think Cleveland will get the W today?

CLE will find a way to lose this game. I guarantee it.
Hell...THEY guarantee it.

Troy and Brown both out in addition to Ben.

Re: Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
A Pitt loss would surely be huge. As could easily also happen, a Ravens loss and Pitt win puts us right back where we were last week: playing the Steelers for a division lead tie next week. Perilous territory.
I don't see beating the Chargers in SD today as simply "taking care of business". I think it's going to be a brutally tough game to win, and I wouldn't bet money on the Ravens today.

Re: Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
Browns are catching them a good time time, weaken. Browns are slightly better than their record and have lost a lot of close games. Still I don't think it will happen. But I'm pulling for them.

If the Brownies can minimize penalties and get out of their own way than Yes they could pull out a win.

Can they? Certainly.
Will they? Not likely.Last edited by Quackjack; 11-25-2012 at 11:06 AM.

It seems like all the pieces are in place for the Browns to pull the upset. Unfortunately the X factor is Pat Shurmur -- he seems to have a special talent for losing winnable games.

Re: Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
I do think the Browns have a puncher's chance. Although I think we got a break with the stealers playing Leftwich, not Batch, against us. stealers are really banged up, Browns are playing better then their record, and they are at home.
Cleveland's problem is they do not know how to do the little things to win. But if Cribbs can break one, and if they can avoid mistakes (which is a big if), maybe Cleveland finally gets off the schneid.

Only the Browns could come up with gem of a promotion.

As far as an upset. Sure. I could see it happening.

Re: Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
The Browns always play Pitt tough especially in Believeland. I think Pitt's defense has enough to win the game for them today but it should be entertaining. If I was Pat Shurmur I would pull out all stops, trick plays, use Cribbs in a wildcat, go for it on 4th and short. What do they have to lose but the game? Winning it might save his job or at least it would help.

Is the Cleveland, Pittsburgh game being aired over in Maryland today?

Re: Anyone thinking the Browns pull the upset today?
The Browns have a pretty good defense, and the Steelers don't have much of an offense without Roethlisberger, so I think the Browns certainly have a chance to pull off the upset at home.
But, as has been mentioned often before: this is the Browns we're talking about. If anyone can find a way to lose to the Steelers, it's the Browns.
