Jacoby Jones – underdog again, this time on “Dancing with the Stars”

You could have made a lot of money betting on the Ravens to win the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. After all, they were huge underdogs in their divisional matchup against Denver and in the AFC Ghampionship Game in Foxborough, and San Francisco was favored to win Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.

The Ravens defeated the odds and thumbed their noses at the oddsmakers, and anybody who put money on the purple and black walked away happy.

When it was announced that Jacoby Jones would be participating in this season of “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, we Ravens fans who have seen his moves all year assumed that he would be one of the favorites to win the contest.

However, just like when we expected our team to be favored to beat the 49ers after completely dismantling the New England Patriots in their house, we are again wrong.

The disrespect continues.

The betting site Bovada.lv released their odds for “Dancing with the Stars,” and Jacoby is near the bottom of the list.

Aly Raisman — 4-1
Zendaya Coleman — 9-2
Ingo Rademacher — 11-2
Kellie Pickler — 6-1
D.L. Hughley — 13-2
Victor Ortiz — 13-2
Jacoby Jones — 7-1
Wynonna Judd — 10-1
Dorothy Hamill — 10-1
Lisa Vanderpump — 15-1
Andy Dick — 30-1

Some Ravens fans would like to see Jacoby eliminated early in the competition, so he can get back to football. However, Jones is surely in this to win it.

Let’s see if he can translate that underdog mentality that he’s now grown so accustomed to as a member of the Ravens to the dance floor.

And for those of you who like to wager, this might be another chance for some easy winnings.
