OWINGS MILLS — Baltimore Ravens left guard Kelechi Osemele continues to progress from the back surgery he underwent in November.

In February, Ravens coach John Harbaugh described Osemele as being well ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Then, in late March, Osemele posted a video on Instagram of him running with two tires attached to his waist by a strap.

Now, he is taking part in the Ravens’ voluntary offseason workouts, which began Monday.

“He’s coming along very well,” Baltimore strength and conditioning coach Bob Rogucki said. “He’s on track. He’s doing a great job.”

The 2012 second-round pick was the Ravens’ starting left guard prior to being placed on injured reserve last season.

Baltimore would like to keep him at left guard, and Osemele would like to stay there. However, Osemele started 16 games at right tackle as a rookie, and Harbaugh has said that Osemele could move back out to right tackle depending on what the Ravens add this offseason.
