OWINGS MILLS — The Baltimore Ravens’ organized team activity this week is left guard Kelechi Osemele’s first real opportunity to go through football-related activities since undergoing season-ending back surgery in November.

And to Ravens coach John Harbaugh, Osemele has been practicing fast, sprinting back to the huddle or the line after each play and just looking good overall.

Harbaugh referred to Osemele as a player that has jumped out to him during practice the last two days and said Osemele looks to be in “exceptional condition.”

Harbaugh also had positive news regarding running back Bernard Pierce.

Baltimore expected Pierce to be sidelined until at least the beginning of training camp after undergoing shoulder surgery in January, but Pierce went through light work at practice Thursday.

“[He] may be a little bit ahead of schedule maybe,” Harbaugh said.
