Ravens Express Appreciation to Baltimore’s Finest

The Ravens organization strives to make the City Baltimore and the State of Maryland a better place each and every day.

On Tuesday afternoon the Ravens thanked the City of Baltimore for its continued service and support with a donation of three motorcycles and 12 jackets to the Baltimore City Police Department.

Linebacker Jameel McClain and running back Ray Rice along with Ravens President Dick Cass and Ravens Director of Security Darren Sanders presented Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Police Commissioner Anthony Batts with the new equipment at City Hall.

“The Baltimore PD is critical to city and team success on gamedays and other events held at M&T Bank Stadium. With its assistance, the Ravens have also been able to implement numerous community initiatives. In addition to the long-standing relationship with the department, a number of retired Baltimore officers are current members of the Ravens’ security staff.” The team said in a statement released earlier this week about the donation to the City of Baltimore.

Earlier this year, the Ravens presented two motorcycles to the New Orleans Police Department that the team donated as a Super Bowl thank you.

Once again the Ravens demonstrate why they are a first class franchise with their desire to give back in unprecedented ways.
