Ravens to wear black jerseys against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Print Ravens 2013 Schedule

Queue AC/DC’s Back in Black, because the Ravens have elected to don their alternate uniforms for the first time this season.

Despite four primetime, nationally televised games, the Ravens have stuck with their regular purple or white uniforms through the first 11 games of the season, but all of that will change late Sunday afternoon as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

NFL rules state that teams may only wear their alternate uniforms twice per season and may not wear them during the playoffs.

No announcement has been made as to the color of their pants as the Ravens have worn both their black and white pants during previous games with black jersey tops.

Stats provided by the Ravens show the team has a 9-2 overall record with their black uniforms and during the John Harbaugh era, the team has never lost, winning all six of their games.

Many people like the black tops but the choice in the color of their pants has been a topic discussed by fasionistas of the tailgate lots. Personally, of the choices, I prefer the white pants but I would also like to see the Ravens take a page out of Texas Christian University’s fashion catalog and introduce purple pants.

So, tell me Ravens fans, what is your take?
