Ray Lewis to tackle Mt. Kilimanjaro

What is next for the man that has seemingly done it all both on the field and off?

Retired Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is at it again. This time the 13-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money and awareness for clean water projects in East Africa.

Next month Lewis, who recently was hired by ESPN as an NFL football analyst, is going to attempt to scale the highest free-standing mountain in the world (measuring in at over 19,000 feet above sea level).

“I am so fired up for this adventure, but until then, I need your help to bring clean water wells to thousands of children and families,” Lewis said in a  statement.

The mission Lewis has called “TackleKilli” is in need of support from all of his fans to tackle this endeavor and is accepting donations through his website.

Many pro athletes when they retire head for the beaches or drift off into the world quietly. Not Ray; that is just not his nature.
