Three Steelers superstars OUT against Ravens

Print Ravens 2013 Schedule

Plenty has been made about the Ravens losing injuries but the injury bug has been feasting on their AFC North Rivals.

After sustaining injuries to his ribs and shoulder, Ben Roethlisberger was ruled out by the Steelers for Sunday night’s primetime clash with the Ravens. The Ravens knew the Steelers still had other superstar players injured but until this point had to prepare for them.

The injury report was released this afternoon, and the Steelers have also announced that safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) will be sitting out of their upcoming game.

For Polamalu, this is his sixth consecutive game missed. It is Brown’s second straight.

After announcing he had underwent a successful sports hernia operation in Philadelphia, the Ravens have only listed Jimmy Smith as out for Sunday Night Football.

Defensive end Pernell McPhee is still battling a thigh injury and is listed as doubtful. Even though he dressed but didn’t play a snap last game, Haloti Ngata is only listed as probable.
