THURSDAY PRACTICE INJURY STATUS: Ravens @ Dolphins

6227878.jpg

The Ravens are still a bit banged up, especially at the wide receiver position. Deonte Thompson suffered a concussion against Buffalo and hasn’t returned to the practice field. Jacoby Jones is back on the field in a limited capacity after his knee injury suffered in Week 1. Brandon Stokley sat out the Bills game and has still been a bit limited. Marlon Brown hasn’t practiced this week.

Hopefully those guys heal up sufficiently by Sunday. It’s not like the Ravens are swimming in pass-catching options.

On the Dolphins’ side, their most glaring injury is to Cameron Wake. Wake is one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL, but sprained his MCL a couple weeks back. He’s reportedly feeling better, but his status is still uncertain. The good news for the Ravens is that the Dolphins have a bye next week, and as a result they may be cautious with Wake and allow him to fully heal for the next several weeks, rather than trying to rush him back.

Needless to say, Wake’s absence from the field Sunday would be a huge plus for the Ravens, offensive line troubles or no.
