Torrey Smith can’t stomach Pats fans

Baltimore Ravens Vs. New England Patriots 2012 AFC Championship Game At Gillette Stadium

Fortunately for Torrey Smith, the Ravens play the Patriots at home this season. If the game were in Foxboro, he would be quite a target for their enmity. On Twitter, the Ravens wide receiver made his feelings about New England fans quite clear.

Smith had been tweeted a question about whether he wanted the Blackhawks or the Bruins to win the Stanley Cup. His reply: “CHI I hate everything about NE except KG.” That “KG” would be the Celtics’ Kevin Garnett.

But Smith didn’t stop there.

“I understand that every Fan base has bad fans what I’m saying is NE fans have more than others and think they are better than everyone else.”

If Smith feels antipathy toward Patriots fans, he has good reason. After the Ravens beat New England in the AFC Championship Game last season, Smith said he was targeted for cruel tweets about his late brother, who had died in a motorcycle accident in September.

“Played a lot of games since my brothers death and I never received as many rude tweets after a win than Sunday…yet NE fans cry about class,” Smith tweeted in January.

You can hardly blame Smith for declaring a pox upon all of the houses of Boston-area sports teams after that.

I went to NE for the first (and hopefully only) time two years ago for my cousins wedding. It was awful. Boston was a disaster, and I was shocked how much I didn’t like it or the surrounding area. Maine was no better, and I’m not surprised why the sports fans are so surly up there, mainly because there is nothing else going on.

I have been saying for years that the fans in the Boston area are among the worst, if not the worst, fans in all of sports. They are generally rude, loud, obnoxious and feel that they are priviledged and have the right to think they are champs no matter what. I guess I should also say that Boston is and always has been one of my least favorite cities to visit.

Why would someone talk a bunch of smack about someones brother after they died? Just because they won a football game?! Why would someone count a player guilty until proven innocent because he plays for another team? Looks like Aaron Hernandez and the rest of the Pats are feeling what we felt for 12 years. Except most of the Baltimore fan base knows how it feels so we won’t do that. Don’t forget the Pats are cheaters. All of you are holding some trophies a little too high; you’re starting to sound like the Steelers who seem to only care about their past even though they’re actually bums.

Yeah, NE fans, and Boston fans in particular are by far the worst in all of sports. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a O’s/Sox’s game where some obnoxious Boston fan didn’t end up starting a fight. Getting himself and some O’s fans who were just there to enjoy the game thrown out in the process. The stuff about Torrey’s brother last year was just disgusting. Also, it’s not even just their fans, the players are just as classless. I guess it’s true that teams take on the personality of their coach.

Pat fans have no class. I went to 2011 and 2012 playoff games in 2011 I was walking thru tail gate section on way to stadium minding my own business and a Pat fan came at me with an 6″ chefs knife yelling KILL A RAVEN….no words had been spoken until then. During the game a group of Pat fans tried to start several fights with Raven Fans and on the way back to the bus a group of Pat fans jumped some people from our bus. In 2012 I went with family and friends to game and we were directed to go to the right when walking to get in line for stadium and we were quite pleased to see no line yeah right, there were 4 gates and only 1 was letting people in very very slowly did I mention Ravens Fans ? then when Pat fans walked up they opened a gate just for them so I got out of a long line and walked over to other gate and they directed me back to what was now a very long of line Raven Fans. Go figure, I went to get something to drink in stadium only to have some idot come up and start screaming in my face thank god there was a security guard that seen him, he was thrown out. A family of Pat fans sat behind us and the father encouraged the children to hit us in back of head and thought it was funny. On the way out of stadium FINALLY a Pats fan came up to shake my hand and say congrats on the win!!! The Denver Game I had great seats their Fans were welcoming until we started winning then a very well dressed woman decided to yell bad things about #52 I tried to ignore her comments however after listening to it for hours I had to politely ask her to keep her comments to her self. I have to be honest and say I have seen some of our drunken fans not be so nice to visiting fans sometimes. But New England Pat fans are the WORST!!! they are a bunch of cry babies just like BRADY~!! Good Luck if you venture to New England…Oh by the way NOLA was awesome. FYI before some nasty comments start I am a 60 yr old kind woman.

Also, when it comes to other NFL fans who won’t shut up about Ray Lewis and his murder trial, the Pats fans are probably #1 on that list. Even Wes Welker’s wife opened her beak to squawk about it. But now that Hernandez has been revealed to not only at the very least obstruct justice (the ONLY thing Ray Lewis was guilty of) but ACTUALLY SHOT A GUY IN THE FACE WHICH SHOULD HAVE KILLED HIM AND BE CONSIDERED ATTEMPTED MURDER!

But it’s pretty clear that Hernandez knows something about the recent death, which appears to have been a murder, and at the very least the NE fans will never be able to talk about Ray Lewis or the Ravens ever again (though I doubt that will stop them).

  7. Brian Tray on said:

I guess that’s why I consider Bernard Pollard’s Knockout of Steven Ridley in the AFC Championship game the greatest of the year, of Raven’s history and probably of all time…….LOL. That broke their punk @#% backs. We own those bums now. Without Hernandez, Welker and Gronkowski they will be lucky to go 8-8 this year. The Brady era is over.

  8. Joe V. on said:

Now all of the N.E. fans who called Ray a murderer all these years can eat some poo. Their TE really did some bad stuff and now they can suffer for it. F them!
