We want to hear from YOU!

Training camp is rapidly approaching, which means football season is almost back!

Here at Russell Street Report, we’re a fan site created BY Ravens fans, FOR Ravens fans. Instead of forcing news and random topics down your throats, we want to cover the things that you care about even if that means giving Ravens fans control sometimes.

As we prepare for camp, we’ll be making requests for one-on-one interviews to get to learn a little more about the players (particularly the newcomers) and find out the things that YOU want to know. Yes, that’s right, we’ll be asking some of your questions during one-on-one interviews with your beloved Baltimore Ravens!

So, as we prepare for the grueling dog days of summer, who do you want us to interview? We’ll have plenty of chances to talk to the “big name” players, but let’s talk about the guys battling for starting spots and primary backup positions.

If you had the opportunity to talk to a Ravens player, who would it be?

What would you ask?

Leave a comment in the box below and we’ll consider it for a story throughout camp.

Which training camp battle are you most intrigued by?
Battle for No. 2 WR (60%)
The starting inside linebackers (27%)
Corey Graham v. Jimmy Smith at CB (8%)
Gradkowski v. Shipley at C (5%)
This poll has completed. Thank you for voting.

Tandon Doss and my question would be. Are you aware of the rumors that you are too soft to go over the middle and what are you going to do to dispell that rumor.

MY FIRST REQUEST THAT THE MEDIA HARDLY EVER COVERS WOULD BE WHAT WEIGHT GUYS FROM EARLY JUNE WEIGHT WAS AND IS NOW. WHAT WEIGHT WHEN CAMP OPENS ARE THEY CURRENTLY AT AND WHAT WEIGHT DOES HARBAUGH WANT THEM TO WEIGHT.. THIS INCLUDES CODY, NGATA, UPSHAW, MCKINNIE.
AS FAR AS INTERVIEWS IN MY 62 YEARS OF WATCHING AND READING INTERVIEWS ALL PLAYERS NEVER SAY ANYTHING TRUE JUST PR BULL. THEY WANT PEOPLE TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY BUT IT IS ALL SHOW FOR MEDIA GUYS TO WRITE ABOUT! BUT IF YOU INTERVIEW PLAYERS ANY KEY BACKUPS ARE WHERE TO GO LIKE; RB PIERCE, DT CODY, LB MCCLAIN ,LB SMITH, QB TAYLOR AND ALL ROOKIES AFTER ONE WEEK INTO CAMP.
ALSO UP TO INJURIES /REHAB REPORTS WOULD BE HELPFUL AS TO WHO IS REALLY PRACTICING FULL TIME.

This game is about the players. A good team means all the players must be good, since a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. So let’s continue to get more info about ALL the players, especially the starters, but also key backups. I’ve done research on several players and found some really interesting and amazing stuff about things they did in high school and college that nobody knows about. An example is that Suggs grew up in Minnesota and played high school football in Arizona, where he still holds the state record for running backs (387 yards rushing in one game). And I know there are interesting things about all the players. So we’d all appreciate learning more about them and where they came from.
    Brief Examples:
Deonte Thompson: Thompson was also a track star at the University of Florida, where he ran the 60 meters in 6.80 seconds, 100 meters in 10.59 seconds and 200 meters in 21.29 seconds.
Tommy Streeter: As a junior, Streeter led the Miami Hurricanes in receptions with 46, receiving yards with 811 and touchdowns with eight.
Tandon Doss: In his junior year at Indiana, Doss recorded 63 receptions for 706 yards and 7 touchdowns. Doss also recorded 28 carries for 163 rushing yards and another touchdown. Doss was Indiana’s main kick returner, where he recorded 1,016 kick return yards on 41 returns. Doss averaged 175.8 all-purpose yards per game, which was the 4th best figure nationally and the best in the Big Ten.

Ask Bryan Hall about speed 40 time with the weight loss, and does he like ST or just a willingness to do anyhting he can to make the team.
Ask about his mind shift for LB from DL and how difficult/easy it is for his body shape adapting to the mental image he had of himself in action.

    • Players on said:

I’m very curious about Bryan because Harbaugh implied if he lost weight and moved to LB then he’d make the team, but will he actually be on the final 53 man roster? Maybe it depends on his speed and ability to cover tight ends and slot receivers.

I’d like to know the REAL status of Jameel McClain and Lard Webb. Are they going to come back 100% or not? Everything we read is totally wish-washy on their status.

I would like to see more anyalisis done on the other teams in the devision, how are their rookies doing and what their strengths and weeknesses are as it pertains to the Ravens

I’d ask the coaches who THEY’RE excited with. Hearing from some of the players can be monotonous and after a while you start to realize all of their answers are practiced. If their answers are not practiced they seem that way. I’d ask each position coach, Ozzie, and Steve who they were the most excited about. I work at Harborside and my bar tender heard rumors that Steve was more excited about Bernard Pierce last offseason than anyone else. I guess he was friends with him from Salisbury University or something.
