How far can the Ravens go with Brian Billick as the Offensive Coordinator, a role he’s assumed since Jim Fassel’s departure after Week 6? BTN predicts not very far unless the running game gets fixed soon. The upcoming schedule includes Pittsburgh and Kansas City; two teams that defend the rush very well. You can bet they will take away the run and force Steve McNair to carry even more of a load than he has up to this point.
It seems obvious the rushing game could use a little more Mike Anderson and Musa Smith added to the mix…but we’ve been saying that for weeks now. No team with a winning record runs the ball worse than the Ravens (3.4); New Orleans has the same average.
The holiday season is now upon us and BTN is asking Santa to deliver an early Christmas gift to Brian Billick — a running game!
Check back next week to see if the trends continue.
