Street Talk Sponsor Spotlight: BOBBY NYK—STILL THE FAN WITH THE PLAN!

Many times our Columnist and sponsor BOBBY NYK has been compared to a combination of the Energizer Bunny and Cal Ripken.  He keeps going and going and going—to Ravens games, that is.
After the Chargers game this season it will mark the 137th straight game—home and away—that Bobby has attended and the mileage has now reached 118,626 miles after the first of three west coast trips to San Francisco.
His weekly column here at ProFootball24X7.com covers the before and after of the experience as opposed to that which happens between the goal lines.  With a team like ours that depends on D and Stover’s right foot, the pre-game and post game activities usually are far more entertaining—and news worthy.
Last season was highlighted by a Purple Presence in Nashville that saw 500 Ravens fans follow Bobby right into the parking lot adjacent to stadium and by the end of the day; generous Ravens fans had their fill of brats and beverages while donating more than $5,000 to a local school for special kids.
“I am so proud of the way we have stepped up as fans—and humanitarians,” says Bobby.  “We travel well and certainly represent Baltimore in a classy, enthusiastic way.  The number of Ravens fans nationwide is growing and growing!”  This year’s tail gate lineup is no exception.  In Buffalo, we met at MILLIGAN’S PUB for Buffalo Hot Wings in a Raven Haven next to Ralph Wilson Stadium.
San Diego is the next major weekend with the funky little place called the East Village Tavern and Bowl as the venue.  A sports bar in the Gaslight district that is two blocks from the light rail that delivers you to the game.  The biggest and best of the parties is going to change the face of Southern Florida.
Toucan’s Restaurant has received a permit from the city to erect a stage on the beach to host a two day purple celebration.  Starting on Saturday afternoon, there will be music—after all Bobby IS a DJ—bands, and a best body on the beach bikini contest.  “Bobby’s Beach Bash” is open to all fans.  It doesn’t matter if you are coming with a group or coming alone, the “Bash” is where you’ll want to end up. The party goes till dusk to leave the real party animals an opportunity to hit South Beach that night.  The following morning, a pre-game tail gate will start early and feature food, beverages and shuttle busses to the game. The Ramada Inn Hollywood Beach is even offering special prices to Ravens fans to mention “Bobby’s Bash on the Beach” when booking their reservation directly through the hotel.
Look for the facemaskless (is that a word?) helmet, uniform #68 and the white Road Warrior jacket (a Kevin “KC” Charles design).  It’s always so much fun when you can share that common experienced on the road—not to mention safety in numbers. Also make sure to stop by and say hi at the C lot tailgate.  Nothing fancy—other than the fresh mint Mojitos, just a long time Baltimore football fan who thrives on meeting old and new friends.
Oh, and since he IS a sponsor, you can hire his music service for your next party—no matter how big or small—by calling 410-997-7113.  Although pricey, he does give a sizable discount to charity events.
He’s the “Fan with the Plan” to lead the Purple Presence in the safe Ravens Havens across the NFL.  Look for his weekly column here at ProFootball24x7.
