Tony Lombardi: You have a season under your belt. Your injury aside what did you learn from your rookie season and how will you use that going forward to improve your game in 2010?
Lardarius Webb: I learned that talent is only the beginning of the NFL! Now I know that the game is more mental than physical. Now I know how to study the game also, not just play it!
TL: Other than your teammates, what NFL corner do you study most closely? Which do you respect most?
LW: I like Asante Samuels and I admire Charles Woodson. But I give all my respects to the old 21, McAlister.
TL: What opposing NFL receiver that you’ve faced who isn’t a household name now but should be one soon?
LW: Johnny Knox, Chicago Bears
TL: You were seen blitzing from the slot position often in 2009. What are your thoughts on that responsibility and how can you become a more effective blitzer?
LW: I just try to take care of my responsibilities on the field. And if it’s blitzing, then I blitz. A blitz is a team thing so your teammates definitely help make it effective.
TL: Once you are back on the field, do you expect to return kicks again?
LW: I expect to play any position Coach Harbaugh wants me to play…I just want to get in there and help my team in whatever capacity the coaches see fit. I still have plenty to prove!
A few quick hitters…
TL: What do you prefer, corner or safety?
LW: Corner
TL: Toughest WR or RB to tackle in the NFL…
LW: The toughest wideout to tackle would be Calvin Johnson…he’s HUGE!
TL: Fabian Washington, Domonique Foxworth and you when each of you is on your “A” game…who wins a 100 yard dash? 40 yard dash?
LW: Fabo!!!
TL: If you weren’t a football player, what other professional sport could you play?
LW:Basketball
TL: What has been your most pleasant discovery about Baltimore?
LW:The fans…hands down.
