OWINGS MILLS — The Baltimore Ravens signed veteran safety Marcus Paschal after he missed all of last season on injured reserve due to a right quadriceps injury.

Paschal, 28, was on the practice squad two seasons ago, spending part of that season on the active roster following a promotion late in the season.

A 6-foot, 206-pounder from Iowa, Paschal played for Ravens coach John Harbaugh with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2007 season.

Appearing in five career regular-season games, Paschal has recorded one tackle.

Paschal has previous stints with the Atlanta Falcons and the Indianapolis Colts.

Paschal was initially signed to the Ravens’ practice squad on Nov. 18, 2009 before being promoted to the active roster one month later when defensive tackle Brandon McKinney was placed on injured reserve.

The Largo, Fla., native was subsequently cut, signed to the practice squad and then promoted to the active roster again before the end of the season.
