OWINGS MILLS — Often linked to the Baltimore Ravens in mock drafts, Wisconsin All-American center Peter Konz is scheduled to meet with the reigning AFC North champions.

Konz has visits or private workouts with the Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and the Tennessee Titans.

Konz draws high marks for his aggressiveness, mobility, intelligence, technique and blocking skills.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pounder is coming off a dislocated left ankle that caused him to miss the final three games of last season.

A three-year starter, Konz was an All-Big Ten Conference selection who has drawn comparisons to Ravens six-time Pro Bowl center Matt Birk.

Konz is regarded highly for his character and versatility, capable of lining up at all three interior spots.

He was also named Academic All-Big Ten Conference.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are hosting Illinois wide receiver A.J. Jenkins for a visit this week.

He also has visits scheduled with the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jenkins has good size and speed at 6-foot, 190 pounds, running a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine.

He also posted a 38 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-4 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds a dozen times. At his campus Pro Day workout, Jenkins registered a 4.12 in the 20-yard shuttle and a 6.73 in the three-cone drill.

The All-Big Ten Conference wide receiver led the conference with 84 catches for 1,194 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

He caught 56 passes for 749 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior.

Jenkins was a blue-chip recruit who chose Illinois over Florida, Florida State, Miami and South Carolina and played immediately as a true freshman.
