Nike unveils new Ravens uniforms

Reading Time: 2 minutes

After months of anticipation from football fans, Nike has
finally unveiled their new NFL uniforms to the public.

And aside from the Seattle Seahawks- nothing really changed;
aesthetically, at least.

Nike, the sports apparel giant known mostly for their
futuristic jersey designs in college sports, came up short when it came to
outfitting the pros. Shortly after the jerseys were revealed at 11:30EST, most
public reaction via social media had an air of disappointment.

The only real winners in this change are the players. Nike
has made major improvements to the fabrics of the uniforms, which may translate
to player comfort on the field but not really any difference for the fans who
watch them play.

Here are the most notable changes to the Ravens 2012
uniforms:

Lightweight: Nike
has introduced new material, which makes their uniforms lighter than previous
Nike and Reebok versions worn on the field- regardless if they’re wet or dry.
These pants also include zoned mesh ventilation in areas previously covered by
other fabric.

Flywire Technology:
Reduces the need for layers and provides a tighter fit to protective padding

Stretchable Material:
Everything on these new jerseys stretch, even the numbers

Vapor Jet 2.0 Gloves:
These great looking gloves also include the team logo.

And finally, you may now start heckling the mannequin in
this ugly outfit:
