Ed Reed is a different kind of guy. He can be described in many ways ranging from superstar Hall-of-Famer to Sybil. The things he says to the media run the gamut of the emotional spectrum and the guess here is if Ed was married the look on his bride’s face would likely rival that of a husband whose pregnant wife’s behavior is severely impaired by raging hormones.

After awhile the husband just shakes his head and says, "Yes dear."

The Ravens organization probably responds similarly to Ed.

One day he hints at retiring the next he’s considering another four of five years in the NFL.

And he’s repeated the behavior so often it’s as though he studying the Brett Favre handbook on public relations.

Put a mic in front of Ed and you never know what he’ll say but one thing is for certain, whatever spews from the mouth of the All World safety the media will cling to it like a street hooker does to crack.

And then the party is on.

Just ask Sirius/XM Radio’s Adam Schein and Rich Gannon who had Reed on their program today when the mercurial safety professed that he was not 100% committed to returning for the 2012 season. Schein asked if the team was aware of Reed’s uncertainties to which Ed replied, "I’m sure they will after this interview."

Yawn!

I’m thinking there are 7.2 million reasons why No. 20 will be playing centerfield again in 2012 at M&T Bank Stadium.

After that, it’s time to move on.

The drama is beginning to taint Reed’s legacy.
